The gravitational pull of joy

“We cease using the world to serve our happiness and instead we use our happiness to serve the world.”–Rupert Spira

Happy Wednesday, you beautiful beings of light. I just returned from a joyous week of living in the woods, walking daily with my sister and tuning into nature. And, yes, I continued to strengthen “the connection” each and every morning.

Although technically my process is called “writing,” it’s more like I’ve agreed to participate in the emergence of this as yet-to-be named project. And I’m really, really enjoying it which means it’s the right thing for me to do.

We all have this inner guidance system. And despite what we’ve been told, it’s easy to recognize. Think goosebumps! Excitement! Think “this is really fun!”

Of course, there are days where it doesn’t flow. But once you’ve recognized the buzz, felt the shivers, you know it’s worth hanging out until it begins to flow again. It just feels right.

Someone asked in the comments how one establishes this connection so, while there is no one-size-fits all prescription, I’ll happily share what I’m doing.

I go to my journal first thing. It’s my number one priority. I ask Infinite Intelligence, the Universe, the F.P. (there must be a hundred synonyms) to please spill the tea.

“T,” of course, stands for truth and I request that this marvelous mystery (yet another name) dish up all the juicy universal gossip.  In other words, what exactly do I need to know?

It’s almost freaky how wise and loving and apropos the guidance is.

And that’s the other thing. I absolutely have to lay aside all skepticism and doubt. I have to ignore the fact that “normal people” don’t expect to actually hear from God — although they’re really good at telling “the big guy” what they think he should do for them.

Because I’m so cognizant of how little I know, I’m thrilled to consult the higher source that has a much grander, more-encompassing viewpoint.

Over and over again, I keep getting variations of this message: love, happiness and peace is our true nature. We can access it any time. For me, I find it in the pages of my journal.

Love you all to the first quarter phase of the moon (today’s phase, I checked) and back!

  1. I love you! This post, like all of your posts, reminds me the truth of what life is about. I just sent a link to this post to Elizabeth Gilbert’s Letters From Love on Substack. I hope she contacts you to be a special guest. You, your energy would be so perfect.

  2. Welcome back Pam! These last couple of blogs are exactly what I’ve been waiting for. You have inspired me in so many ways in the past. I have all of your books and have loaned them to and / or purchased copies for friends and family. You have been my go-to guru since 2016 when I first discovered you. These last couple of years, I’ve kind of missed you. Yes, I received and read your posts, and even commented on a few. But something seemed to be missing. But it matters not, because you’re back on the glorious path that I know will bring you and all of us, your faithful friends, the light we all need. You are one of the most important Light Workers I’ve ever known. I’m so excited for us all.
Love and blessings on your new endeavor!

  3. Oh, how I love this. Perfectly timed, yet again. I’ve been saying far too often lately “ I just don’t know” while forgetting to actually ask the Universe for some tips!

    1. Oooh! I know JUST what I need to get back to! It combines my Love of writing with my other Loves of well-being, training, and teaching. I light up each time I slowly work on putting together something that, honestly, doesn’t have legs/a plan/a destination yet. You know what? Who cares! I think it would be wise to just keep doing it because I Love putting it together, and see what the Universe does with it!

All the best to you Pam! I LOVE receiving your posts!

      Blessings,
      Karen

  4. Dear Pam, just wanted to let you know that I have been reading your newsletter for a while (years) , that it brings out the good, peaceful, hopeful, side of me, similarly to reading the Course and other high calibrating material. It crossed my mind that you may never know how many people read you daily, since we don’t come here to comment so here I am 🙂 have a lovely day (or night). Ps: I am based in the middle East, in case you wonder.

    1. Dear sweet Samia–I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to tell me that. We writers can never hear it enough–that our words mean something and connect us to our beloved readers!!

  5. Pam, thank you for sharing how every morning you prepare to write by inviting Spirit to flow through your thoughts and feelings onto the written page. Your creative ideas and writings and how you see things are an inspiration, proving your method of invoking Spirit to flow through you actually does occur. I love spending time in nature too. Your week with your sister sounded marvelous. Sending you much love and gratitude.

  6. HI Pam it’s me again
I am again reading Gifts from Erika’s \\\\\
    My spell check changes it.
But it is from our teacher Wayne.
    Thank you
    I have the book
    I am happy to share
    Please email me.
    Thank you
    Marianne

  7. Ooooh, I love the sound of asking the FP to ‘dish up all the universal gossip.’ 😁 That sounds like delicious fun! “What’s new please dear Goddess of Wonder? What do you have to share with me today Dear Dude of All?” 😄 I think I too need a God/Dude/Goddess/FP/etc journal and to start practising asking for the universal gossip each morning. I just love this practise and the way you describe it Pam. It sounds fun, light, easy and doable. It doesn’t sound like a heavy, monotonous, ‘spiritual’ practise but like a light, inviting, joyful ‘spiritual practise’. Thank you for sharing and encouraging us to try it too. I reckon the universe is getting pretty excited about communicating daily with so many of us and helping to bring new joy, new truth, and new possibilities into our lives and out into the world. Yes! Woohoo! Watch out world, here we come! 😁🌏🥳

      1. You’re welcome favourite blogger of mine from the USA! 😄 And yes, I love the idea too! Heehee 😁💃🥳
