The absolute must-do right now: Curate your intake

“In the perspective of infinity, our differences are infinitesimal. We are intimately related. May we never even pretend that we are not.”– Mr. Fred Rogers

For the next six weeks, I’m participating in a Laddership Pod with 175-some people from 19 countries. Every day, we read a selected reading and then reflect on what it means.

This opportunity couldn’t have come at a better time. In case you hadn’t noticed, the “news” right now is less than uplifting. It’s constantly in your face with a lot of talk that doesn’t, shall we say, take into account the perspective of infinity.

I noticed myself getting caught up in it—believing I needed to stay on top of all these current events. My main takeaway from this onslaught of news is that I was being played. I was being purposely manipulated.

More than ever, I have to curate what I allow into my field of awareness. Just like I “curate” what I put in my body, I have to also curate what I allow into my mind.

The stories I’m reading in the Laddership Pod are exactly what I need right now to start my day. And since these stories are better than anything I could come up with, I’m posting a couple links that I trust you will also find comforting. Enjoy!

  1. Thank you for always blessing me with what I need to hear. Both of these stories were a very timely reminder to me. I’m so glad we are all linked; everything has a purpose.

  2. Thank you so much for sharing!
Specially the first story had a great impact on me.
Please keep posting these wonderful stories. We all need to be curators of our experiences.
    Love you Pam.

  3. What a great post. I feel that nearly all media–print, electronic, television, radio, etc.–these days is really just marketing the propaganda of each organization. It is most certainly not worth my time.

The two stories you included were quite moving.

  4. I read all of this and there are two links at the bottom, I have read the first link as well, a good story and I know you like a good story……………………………..M

  5. Thanks Pam. I think this message is perfect for my sister who likes to stay on top of current events too, but she is getting overwhelmed, saddened and angry about some of the ridiculous conspiracy theories going around about COVID19 at the moment, and it’s not doing her any good at all. And even though I rarely watch news or current event stories, I need to “curate my intake” in relation to Facebook posts. So Thankyou for the reminder, and for sharing the links to the two stories. They are both beautiful reminders of the truth of us.
Love and blessings to you my friend. 💛

  6. I started reading your email, then something came up that I needed to take care of. When I returned to your mail, my eye fell on the clock: it was 2:22 pm. How great is that!?

Thank you for your emails, and your interpretation of ACIM: much more accessible/ workable for me that way. Even though I live in a red zone, and apart from not being able to have face to face contact with people, I live in my own created world and feel happy.

Thank you and I salute you and Taz!

  7. Thank you for sharing these great stories Pam and for guiding all us connected souls toward love. I am eternally grateful xx

  8. Pam..thank you for sharing all that you discover to help us along our journey!! I have not read the pods yet , but I am sure they are inspiring. You are a gift to our world dear one with your blog..

  9. Thank you so much for the stories Pam, they’re beautiful <3 And so touching. Just the other day did I remind myself (once) again not to watch the evening news every day. So thank you for always reminding us to look closer what we allow into our reality.

  10. Thank you Pam. This was exactly the message I needed to hear and absorb this morning. The movie of “me” forms such a wall around my relationships and cuts me off from seeing others in their own world – not the “me” world. The comparing thing has really gotten out of hand for me. I keep trying to keep my focus away from the comparison game. If I take off my microscope glasses enough times, I can move forward. Thank you.

  11. Pam, Somehow I’m unsubscribed from you and I don’t want to be unsubscribed! Can you help me ? Thank you!(Lois) Ann Pavicevic

  12. Thank you so much for sharing from your laddership pod! I just read both links and really enjoyed them. Hope you continue to share more! Love you 😍

  13. hey Pam, you know what you have with your daughter Taz, well I didn’t see the numbers 222, but I have heard the number 222 fro 2 persons. the first was when I aped the Drew Barrymore show at the beginning of the second day she said: “yes I am 222” and the second person was a coworker where I work and he said 222. I just wanted to let you know.
