I am the light, baby

“Everyone is involved whether they like it or not in the construction of the world.”—John O’Donohuelight

We did it! Made it through the first 50 lessons (and the review) where we learned the world is nothing like we thought. It’s actually malleable and responds to what we believe and think and say about it. We’re the artists, the creators, the only people we can hold accountable if, for some reason, our world doesn’t appear like we think it should.

ACIM Lesson 61 is a biggie. Get this one lesson (I am the light of the world), get it deep in your bones and boom, everything changes!

Not only are you light (underneath the wah-wah-wah of the hamster wheel of thought), but being light is why you’re here. It’s your rai·son d’ê·tre.

Since I happen to agree with John O’Donohue who says, “Music is what language would love to be if it could,” I’m going to let the following song (I’m sorry for those whose browsers don’t read my song links) communicate today’s lesson.

Love you guys! Have the best weekend of your life.

  1. This IS a good one. Loved the music too. Wasn’t sure if I was going to listen but it turned out to be very gentle music. My son sent me a link this morning on a community course in traveling cheap or free. It’s what I want to do while I still almost can. Very serendipitous. Needed a handyman yesterday, a sewing friend brought her husband over to fix what I needed. I slipped her some money for quilt fabric since I knew he wouldn’t take it and he did a great job. Things are getting taken care of without me worrying about them.

  2. Thankyou so much for guiding us so delightfully through the first 50 lessons. And wow, today’s is a biggie indeed, and that absolutely beautiful song (& singer) brought tears running down my cheeks. Thankyou. I feel so blessed by your presence in my life Pam 😊💖🦋⭐️

  3. Congrats on your first fifty lessons. You have no idea how much I treasure them. Thank you so much for your generosity!

  4. I only joined this site after starting your 30 day program. I had no idea that you were working ACIM. But, of course you are. I’ve so wanted someone else that I knew to be doing it. I attempted it the first time sometime in the 80’s but didn’t get very far. When we downsized and moved and I donated hundreds of books, I kept ACIM thinking I might want to go back to it someday I started it on November 17 of last year and I’m loving the clarity with which you share. It finally happened that I understand and sometimes feel what it is to be that light and I sure know it when I see it in others. Pam, you are an amazing light and I’m so glad I also saved E2 and a couple of weeks ago sent for Thank and Grow Rich. I’m on such a great roll.

  5. I AM THE LIGHT
    THAT’S WHY I’M HERE….

I’m writing that on my hand in permanent ink. I never want to forget that.

    Thank you, Pam

  6. Love Indias album. This is such a healing song. I long to be light within myself and in the world ❤

  7. Is there a place I can go to get your earlier responses to the first half of the lessons I missed with you before I discovered this blog Pam? Thank you.

  8. I must erase 100 emails a day because I work so much i don’t have time to opt out but I look forward to yours every day, like having an ice cream sundae without the calories. You are so inspiring and I’ve taken the course twice. I know how difficult the language is but the concepts are what I believe to be true. Please never stop posting and please come to Indianapolis and Carmel Indiana some day. i know it doesn’t sound too exciting but you’d be surprised. Carmel is very unique. We have a performing arts center and will be starting a speaker series some day.I work for the Center. Do you know if you have a lot of followers in this area?
    Sincerely, Sharon

  9. This is the first blog I’ve received from you. Oh, Pam, I’m so grateful to have found you! Today is my birthday–March fourth/forth–the only command in the year. The day began with my husband Ted and I watching the ceiling above our bed where rainbows appear every sunny morning. I was inviting more light, and felt drawn to play “I am light!” from my iPhone. Perfect! I then realized that you will really, really love seeing visual proof of one of many miracles we’ve experienced. Please look at a 2-minute video on YouTube: RAINBOW ATTACKS CHANTING MAN. Ted posted it for all to see.

  10. Apparently I have a browser that doesn’t work with your links. I wish you had least just mentioned the name of the song and artist so I could google it and know what you were referring to. I gather it’s an India.Arie song from the comments, but nobody shared the name. Poo.
