The only conversation worth having

“In an exuberant state of joy, you are at peace with everything about you . . . there is no thing unconquerable, no thing unreachable.” — RAMTHA
Together
Neuroscientists have discovered that humans reverberate to the actions and emotions of the people around them. This unspoken but ongoing communication is why someone yawning can make you yawn even if you slept ten hours the night before. It’s why dancing on a roof with my fellow Course students makes me so happy.

I probably sound like a broken record, but there is nothing like compadres on the path of enlightenment to encourage, celebrate, and challenge personal perceptions.

It’s why I’m part of two possibility posses in my hometown. It’s why I’m here in Mexico, getting loved up by this beautiful Course in Miracles community.

This Divine communion makes me buzz with joy and love and creative ideas. Which creates even more joy and love . . . and makes me wonder, Why doesn’t everyone do this?

Why doesn’t everyone spend their time talking about possibilities? Why doesn’t everyone move towards the love? Move towards the joy?

Adults, it seems, have a million reasons for declining an offer to enjoy themselves. Kids never turn down fun. They’re constantly in search of the next good time.

When was the tipping point? At what point did we begin rejecting the chance for joy and glee? At what point did we quit talking possibility and start talking problems.

When did we learn to pinch off our gorgeous, clear love energy? When did we allow but a small percentage of who we really are to radiate? When did we get so busy fixing our problems that we forgot to notice the incomparable possibilities?

What I’ve discovered is that when I join with others in possibility, when I commit to being open to love and joy, I don’t even have to look for ACIM Lesson 95. It’s right there, the knowing that I’m forever united with my one Self.

Once again today, I commit to having fun. I commit to being overjoyed. And I commit to letting my light shine.

  1. Ah Pam you’ve done it again- thank you. It’s almost midnight here in my part of the world and after accidentally falling asleep on the lounge I woke up, checked my email one last time before bed and voila – your latest post had just arrived….5 minutes ago! Perfect timing! And I totally love the idea of being committed to being overjoyed. Not just joyful but OVERjoyed! Full to the brim and spilling so that everyone knows you are in joy. One of my Dad’s responses sometimes when my sisters and I and/or my mum are sharing a good laugh and really getting into it is “too much frivolity going on!” Well you can’t ever have too much joy or light or love can you Pam? So I’m joining in the love, light and joy party right here and now, and I’ll take this joy into my heart as I turn out the light and go to sleep. Goodnight and blessings galore to you from me and Melbourne Australia 😁💖🌸

  2. Going through a week of acute pain physically, but I am determined to find joy, peace, love, light, and feeling God’s strength to be able to come out on the other side of this challenge. I so want to learn these lessons and share the wisdom 💖

    • Understand the pain cycle very well. It’s a tough go when the mind is willing but the flesh….OH MY! I’m in similar circumstances but share with you the will to find the JOY! Thank you for expressing our side of the situation so well. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers, Linda. Stay the course!!

      • Thank you Patricia..I am doing one day at a time. Praying for release in whatever form it comes. Peace to you .

  3. Hi Pam! I have wanted to study CIM in more detail , but can’t seem to get past the patriarchal language, reminding me of so many other religions: “You are one Self, the Holy Son of God, united with your brothers in that Self; united with your Father in his will…”
What suggestions do you have for a woman get past such language?
    Thanks!

  4. The Ramtha quote said a lot today. I was feeling no joy at doing a project that I’m afraid of. Procrastinating. So I’m going in there with joy and acting as if it’s all fun. Let’s see if it makes a difference. Wherever you are, I could probably use a double dose of that myself. 🙂 I’m going to go read the lesson now and come back here and read this again to procrastinate just a little longer. 🙂 Have a wonderfilled day. 5. Hey Pam! First of all, your words have changed my life, I read from your books and blog every day and am currently doing ACIM with you. In your book, you stated you made God CEO of your career, what does that mean and how do you do it? I want Divine Love, God, whatever people call it, to run my life, my career, etc, but dont know how that looks, can you explain please? Thanks and Love to you!

    • Oh I’d love to see answers to this beautiful question.
I’ve just stepped down from my easy, pretty good, reasonably enjoyable EXTREMELY well paid senior position, to 2 days a week as a junior at the local hospital because I felt like whoI am want singing and because I was a terrible cranky sole parent to my 10 year old. 8 mornings in a row and every second weekend rushing her out the door, missing supporting her in the dreaded cross country at school, not seeing her win her breaststroke heat, completely forgetting to turn up to mother’s day morning tea at school and having her grandparents and my brother’s family enjoy her each second weekend.
Currently I’m TERRIFIED. And Im clinging to these lessons.
Bring on the joy and bliss of what is true! Bring on the guidance of a mentor who knows what I’m best here to do, bring on a CEO whose aim is Love.

  6. I’m hanging tight to these lessons.
I’m really scared I’ve done the wrong thing…. I’ve just walked away from an easy good income.

For parts of the day with the lessons I’m remembering that I am light and
All is well…I am guided, supported and creating with Source and the Grace which is in me.
    Yikes
Thank you for the steadfastness of these posts.
And I felt yesterday… there are do many of us doing this at the same time… we must be coloring in the world all together. I’m glad you’re all there too.

    • Suzi, when you are terrified or just not feeling the love, count backwards from 100 until you laugh. Do it until you can start start counting at 100 and laugh 3 times in a row. Laughing is when the miracles happen.

  7. Hi Suzi, I love your comment “we must be colouring in the world all together.” Fabulous image! Yes we are and it’s great to be part of this group isn’t it 😁 Bkessings to you on your journey dear fellow Pam Grout follower 😉🌸🦋

  8. When I thought the words of this lesson,”I am one self”, I laughed. Thank you, Pam for your words of inspiratoin again today.
