All in

“There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love. When we are afraid, we pull back from life. When we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer.”–John Lennon

Remember when you were in grade school picking teams for say, kickball or Red Rover?

Even if you weren’t the team captain, you knew exactly who you wanted on your team.

Every single third-grader knew who was the fastest player, the most daring, the one most likely to succeed in breaking through the meaty arms of the classroom bully brigade.

Still today we get to choose who’s on our team, who leads the executive committee in our minds. Only now it boils down to two team players.

There’s the ego, the PR person for fear and limits.

Or there’s love.

In ACIM Lesson 96, we learn there’s no middle ground. There’s no maybe’s. The ego and love are incompatible. They can’t be reconciled. So it’s time to decide.

One choice leads to lack, limitations, more of the same.

The other leads to Divine Intoxication.

So will you join me, my friends, on this beautiful Friday in being fearlessly, joyfully drunk on love?

  1. Ohhh my…. how I love you💗 This is such an excellent lesson and I am so appreciative of your rendition to help me understand the chatty ass-hat ego side and let go with joyful abandon with the dude in me. I have been an excellent worrier and empathetic warrior and found a million reasons to rant over the years… leading to bouts of depression and illness (haha..of course!) but here’s the thing. Ask and it is given, seek and we find…. knock and the door does open…. and reading your posts, it’s like a light switch to joy and an answer to my questions of wanting and needing support with ACIM. Thank you for switching us on! Shine On roof top dancer and much joy right back at you. Xo Kate

  2. Pam, I love how the universe delivers messages threw people! You are my messenger today! When I pulled up the email I first saw the smile on this little girls face, holding a sunflower and your caption “All In”. My best friend who passed 10yrs ago is (her soul) an ALL IN, filled with LOVE being. Rarely ever saw her without a smile, her favorite flowers were sunflowers, her spirit moved a room without her even opening her mouth. Thank you for sharing, as when I recieve these signs from my beautiful friend I can’t help but STOP and FEEL her LOVE.

  3. Pam I tried to post this in your blog but WordPress wants a password I don’t have. Could be at the root of disappearing email. Anywho, here’s a word for the day – agathokakological. It means of a split mind. Coolio, no? See you this eve Jeffois

  5. This is a great lesson. I opened the laptop just to see if you had posted today. I used to tell myself when I was struggling with a major change in my life that I had to go one way or the other. I couldn’t have a foot in both worlds and expect happiness. Same applies here. I’m all in. So I’m going to share that fear and go do that which I am afraid to do. It will be ok. Thank you.

  6. Yes, I will join you! Being fearlessly, joyfully drunk on love sounds like the most delightful, exciting way to live. Why we’re so afraid of living like this is a bit confusing really. Being “in love” is delicious so why wouldn’t we want to be in love with all of life all the time? That ego is a weird dude, bless him! 😉 So I’m choosing love that leads to divine intoxication. Amen! Thanks Pam 😊💖💜💙🦋
