Today I will invoke my super power of love

1 b“God says yes,
we can have what we want,
because love wins.”
― Rob Bell

When my daughter, an avid Harry Potter fan, was in grade school, she and her friend Kylie ran around waving their pretend wands, casting spells and shouting phrases such as “Ascendio” and “Obliviate.”

While I don’t have a wand, I do believe in invoking the power of love. It works better than any potion or charm taught at Hogwarts.

ACIM Lesson 83 basically says, “Ya’ got one function and it’s the only thing that’ll ever make you happy.”

Choose love. Choose love.

And any time its opposite rears its illusory head, just reach for your super power of love and know NOTHING, NOTHING can ever defeat it.

That’s the guarantee of the Course. Love will always win.

  1. I feel so blessed in this lifetime to have such spiritual connections to walk with me along my journey❤
LOVE, could it be any simplier?!
Learning to live in the Holy Instant.

  2. Thank you once again for this blog…I read it everyday and it is the first thing I open each morning.
I LOVE THESE TEACHINGS and am profoundly grateful for them and you.

  3. Could you in one of your missives address specifically the current political climate and how we should be looking at this, ACIM-wise? I get we need to just answer it all with love (I think?), but it also seems like a certain amount of resistance to some hate-filled ideas has to occur. If not, how can we start heading in the correct direction of love and acceptance for our country? I fear complacency on this issue will just cause a continuance of the devisiveness and hate-filled rhetoric. I totally get if you are not comfortable addressing this, however. Also, thank you a million times for doing this. It has made a huge difference in my life!

    1. Thanks, Beth, for this really, really great question. My belief is that everything we see out there requires a fix in here.( I hope you see me pointing to my head.) To me, it’s anything but complacent to focus on all the love, all the great things that are happening. Yes, there are GREAT things happening. The news media is working very hard to scare us. As a journalist, I used to call myself a member of the world’s largest terrorist organization. So I’m paying penance (don’t really believe in penance) by spending my time in this moment, noticing all the things that are going on around me–in front of my face. That other story will disappear once we quit staring at it.

      1. Good morning Pam,

        Love your answer for Beth.
Reminds me of one of Gandhi’s quotes,

“We but mirror the world. All the tendencies present in the outer world are to be found in the world of our body. If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the outer world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him. This is the divine mystery supreme. A wonderful thing it is and a source of our happiness. We need not wait and see what others do… ”

That said I feel great gratitude to be around all the love I feel from everyone through your site.

        Blessings,
        Michael Stilinovich

  4. Thanks for the story about Harry Potter’s wand. I like the idea of having an imaginary wand that I can wave around…like Glenda, the good witch. Another imaginary tool to help me laugh, play, and dance the happy dance.

  5. I guess we could call love a magic potion. The fact that it’s a super power and always wins sounds like a magic potion to me! 😁 Florence Scovel Shinn said “Your word is your wand.” So I like the idea that I’ve got two wonderful, powerful, magical tools to use all the time – my wand (my words) and my magic potion – LOVE! Amen. Thankyou Pam for this clear and simple reminder of the power of love 😊💖💜💙💚💛🧡

      1. You’re most welcome Michael! Thanks for the compliment 😁👍🏻

      2. Oh, and Thankyou for sharing that quote from Ghandi. And for the further comments you made in our discussion earlier this week regarding each of us knowing we are a gift to the world. I appreciate your thoughts. (And I, too, love this community and all that we share here. It’s wonderful 😊⭐️)
