The two magic words that can change your life forever

“Resistance is futile.”—The Borg from Star Trek

Sherlock Holmes, if he were to get involved, would probably surmise that I learned the magic words I’m about to dispense from one of the speakers at the Rotterdam I Can Do It! Conference.

And he’d be right about one thing. I did learn these words at the conference. But not from one of the speakers.

On one of the breaks, I met this really cool volunteer named Natasja Frowijn. Write that name down. You will be hearing from this fabulous 29-year-old (yes, a mere 29 years old!) who healed her body after a near-fatal scooter accident. For five years, she was bed-ridden in excruciating pain. After doctor after doctor told her she would live the rest of her life in a wheelchair (if she was lucky), she was ready to take a boatload of morphine and call it a life.

But instead, she decided that she would heal herself–not for her family, not for her husband–but for herself.

“I decided that that not only would I heal myself, but I would go on to live an awesome life,” Natasja told me.

She appealed to her grandfathers on the other side. She said to the universe, “Show me.”

That day, she “just happened” to turn on Oprah (yes, Oprah is even in Holland) and saw Louise Hay talking about how she healed herself from cancer. Natasja had never heard of Louise Hay, but that was clear enough guidance. She was on her way.

That week, a woman knocked on her door offering an 8-week course on Louise’s “You Can Heal Your Life.” From that moment on, Natasja has been able to draw into her life pretty much every thing she ever wants. For her, it’s a game.

Today, she’s completely healthy and whole. She works part-time as a nurse and part-time as a medium, talking to folks on the other side. She’s beautiful and fabulous and I’m so grateful I was able to meet her.

As we were talking, I thought, “Wow, this girl should write a book” and guess what? She has already started. Not five minutes later, a publisher came up and said she wanted to see her book. Although Natasja is holding out for Hay House (and believe me if Natasja wants it, it’s as good as a done deal), I was amazed at how quickly she drew this to her. Many people spend decades trying to attract a publisher.

So you’re probably wondering, what are the magic words? Don’t let their simplicity fool you. The words are “It’s okay.”

No matter what. No matter what is happening to you, it’s important to acknowledge that, “it’s okay.

No matter how you feel, “it’s okay”. No matter what you think, “it’s okay.”

Most of us, instead of being “okay” with our lives, get all balled up with judgment and fear. We exhaust ourselves trying to make things different.

The loving intelligence, the big Quantum playground knows exactly how to play out in your life. But when our little pea brains get involved (“Oh, no! I shouldn’t feel this way. I must stop this now.” Kick-kick-kick. “I’d better call my friends and hash this out. Or join a support group, start a blog.”), we put out a murky energy that blocks the healing current.

Our thoughts emit an electrical charge. And when the thoughts are busy “not being okay,” we put up a roadblock to our good.

“It’s okay” is the energy of love. So whatever is happening in your life, simply say, “It’s okay” and let the loving flow of the universe do the heavy lifting.

  1. Awesome!!!
Pam my favorite line that I always say especially to my hubby who has gone through a difficult time is to say ” It’s all good!” Would you say this is along the same line as It’s okay ?

    Pam 🙂

    1. That’s my daughter’s favorite phrase. It’s sounds like “it’s ok” to me. I just finished reading (listening) to Anita Moorjani’s book “Dying to Be Me”. The illness, accident or whatever seem to force a change that has been needed and we have been too stubborn to bring it about. I’m still in the healing stage as my lesson is obviously not complete. I’m ready to move on with healing but “it’s ok” like this too. I’m paying better attention now. Still missing something though.

  2. Pam,

You are so incredibly awesome & gifted with thoughts and words!! Thank you for sharing such powerful stories and reminders of who we really are.

I am so enjoying your E books. Your posts are the icing on the cake! I have forgotten how much FUN is out there.

I hope you have a day overflowing with sparkles and amazing gifts from the Universe.

  3. This is great – thank you for the simplicity. I have been saying thank you, but sometimes I don’t really feel thankful…so it’s great and easy to remind myself that it truly is okay…that I’m part of something bigger and more beautiful than I can know….thank you, thank you, thank you.

  4. I had that hopeless ” what the hell is the use” feeling this morning. Decided to talk to it as if it is a different person. Then started telling myself ” it will be ok”. Timely post.

  5. Pam, thank you. This is exactly what i needed today.

  6. I have a friend who is trying to sign up for the newsletter but is having some trouble. I sent her a link to a sign up spot I thought would work but she said it was trying to make her sign up for wordpress instead. Can you send me a link to send her?

  7. Great post. I like to say ‘Wonderful things are happening’ whatever the circumstances. It’s a way of kicking the negative stuff in the butt and denying power to anything other than the good 🙂

  8. Met too, exactly what I needed today. I was literally hiding under the covers not wanting to get out of bed this morning. So frustrated with what is and wanting IT so different! Sat here at my desk feeling more anxiety with plans and deadlines and crapola and then this….”It’s okay.” Shoulders relaxed, deep breath, smiles, peace, love. “let the loving flow of the Universe do the heavy lifting.” Gorgeous. I have to remind myself every 24 hours!! 🙂

  9. Exactly what I needed to hear. I was “exhausting myself trying to make things different”, and was aware that something was wrong. Thanks so much.

  10. Pam, as usual, you simply make me grateful I have an email account. Thank you.

Each human being is contextually creating her own, individual universe. None of us could stop it if we tried. It’s what we do.

And when we look “outside” of ourselves and say “I do (or do not) like THAT or THIS”, we very often forget that our beliefs are the source of those contextual creations. We are, literally, looking at reflections of our beliefs.

There is so much freedom found in this new paradigm. And I am overjoyed to read more and more people speaking to it, spreading it across the globe.

You rock Natasha! I can’t wait to learn more. And thank you so much, Pam, for sharing this.

  11. Pam those two words did change my life yesterday. I had a really difficult argument with my husband Sunday afternoon and our 10 year old daughter witnessing it just made it so much more awful. We don’t usually fight and we certainly don’t do it in front of her. All kinds of things came out about our past 17 years of marriage – my hurt and feeling hated by him, his feeling rejected by me and really worried about cut backs at work that are taking so much money from us. I left the conversation shaken although we felt closer afterward than we have in years. After hearing all of the financial issues he’s facing at work I got really scared. I was scared about all of it – how we’d fix our marriage, if our daughter would be okay, if we’d make it financially. Unable to find peace I turned to God and E Squared and asked for a sign in the next 48 hours that everything is and would be Okay. I wanted to know that we are and will always be okay financially and in every other way. I made my request and let it be. MOMENTS later God reminded me of your blog post that I had read earlier that day: “The two magic words that can change your life forever.” IT’S OKAY! Then I immediately accidentally hit the instagram button on my phone somehow I guess because when I looked down at my phone there was a quote from Danielle LaPorte that said “Let it be enough.” The message was clear to me: God was telling me for all time that It’s Okay. That everything is and will be okay. I don’t have to worry ever. And Danielle’s message was to really let these two words change my life forever. Deep sigh Pam, thank you for being a part of the biggest miracle in my life. Wow!

  12. I was raised in a religion where we were admonished to listen to the “still small voice” for guidance, but I couldn’t hear anything over the constant chatter in my head. I told God that if he wanted me to hear him, he needed to speak up. It wasn’t until I began a meditation practice and learned to let the chatter fall away that I finally heard something that I believe was a message from God to me: “Relax, you’re fine.” It has become my mantra.
