Recognizing the holiness in all things

“I wandered everywhere, through cities and countries wide. And everywhere I went, the world was on my side.”—Roman Payne blessings

As I see it, my work (although I prefer to think of it as my playground) is to spread the word that the world is on our side.

In fact, ACIM Lesson 58 encourages me (and everyone else who is following along) to step up and claim our blessings. Most of us, because of illusions we manufactured in our heads, don’t.

This lesson even tells us (and I’m paraphrasing) that fear is a nothing burger.

So, today, since I’m getting around to posting later than normal, I’m going to share a couple inbox stories from readers who gave up fear and, by golly, claimed their blessings.

1. E-squared changed my life completely. I remember when I first read it I was unemployed (blah blah) and then it shifted everything. A year later I was a lecturer at a university ( I even emailed you before my first lecture being so scared on how I would speak in public, in students…), meeting amazing students who every year nominate me for the lecturer of the year award, teaching about the subject I love the most (the Sun) and now I am even working with Cambridge University, travelling all over UK to inspire hundreds of young kids to study physics (mainly the Sun, ha)!

I mean Cambridge from being out of the academia for some time, from being actually the “black sheep” of academia, and being unemployed and suddenly Cambridge! Ok that I could have never seen coming 🙂

2. Here are the gifts I received while manifesting during E2. Immediately, I got outta a speeding ticket, my frozen flowers started blooming after laser love. Plus, I focused on getting $5K for things and after 2 months I received a check for $7200

3. I wanted to send off my thank you and share this brief story as it surely exceeded my expectations for what this exercise could bring.

I read the chapter and even formally copied the worksheet to my iPad for working the process. I filled out the form setting date and time and was ready for the FP to demonstrate itself in clear form. I watched over the next couple days as amazing things happened:

– I received a large bonus of over $10k!
– A bathtub drain that endlessly frustrates me with its slow draining drained perfectly throughout my shower on the next morning (it has since gone back to usual!).
– I went to a folk concert and because the last band playing was a guest in our AirBnb the last song was dedicated to my wife and I!!! (And they were so incredible)

It’s me again.

I’ve posted this song before, but it bears listening to, well, maybe every day.

It was written by an amazing musician named Claudia Carawan. She is the music director at Unity Bon Air in Richmond, Virginia. When I spoke there, she played this song that, while she didn’t write for me, could easily be my theme song. Enjoy!

Do you collaborate with the universe or make it your enemy?

“I have no purpose for today except to look upon a liberated world.”—A Course in Miracles High-Five

Ask any physicist. We live in an interactive universe. Physical forces respond to how we think, what we expect, how we behave.

That’s the cool news. The not-quite-as-cool news is that most of us, instead of collaborating with this awesome force that spins worlds and expands galaxies, wage war against it. We literally put up our dukes and dare it to fight when it just likes to say, “chill, dude. Have a lemonade.”

Believe it or not, the universe has a thing for you. It wants to guide you. Bless you. Lead you on riveting new adventures.

So if you’re wondering whether you’re engaged in the most effective collaboration with the universe, here’s a guide:

Collaborators high-five their riches. They know they’re heirs to incredible wealth.

Combatants says things like “Riches? You’ve got to be kidding me. Can’t you see I’m struggling here?”

And to them I’d like to say–Look the hell up. Notice the sky’s ever-changing masterpieces for starters. It’s a veritable art museum up there and, baby, nobody’s charging admission.

Collaborators inhabit every moment. They gobble up “the now” with the same rapt interest as departing airplane passengers staring at their phones. What did I miss? Who called? Who texted? Every moment has just as much new intel as any smart phone once we commit to paying attention.

Combatants live everywhere but in the moment. They’re buried in their phones, in yesterday’s disgruntlements, in tomorrow’s worries.

Collaborators zero in on possibilities. They know nothing’s set in stone, that change is exciting and they celebrate all the ways any situation can go.

Combatants cuss. They’re mad as hell and they’re not going to take it anymore. Instead of realizing that every person, every situation offers a plethora of fascinating opportunities, they build a monument to their woe is me!

So to summarize, my fellow collaborators, today we’re going to high-five our riches, inhabit every moment and zero in on the infinite number of possibilities the universe dishes up today and every day.

Make sure to claim your blessing this weekend

When it comes to manifesting miracles, there’s really just one hindrance. It’s the same obstacle whether you’re trying to draw in a new Lexus or attract a soul mate.

Instead of using our imaginations, we rely on what we know now, what appearances have revealed in the past.

“What is” is the last place you should go when wanting something new. You have to create a vision, a vision that gets you pumped up and excited. There is no room for “what is” or “what you know now.”

That’s why it’s called a miracle. It’s a rearranging of life as we think it is. A Course in Miracles insists that miracles are normal and that if we’re not enjoying them on a daily basis, something has gone wrong.

What has gone wrong is that we keep believing and putting our attention on what we’ve noticed in the past. The past has no relevance.

What has relevance is having a vision. You must employ your imagination because what you want to draw into your life has been blocked by your strong belief in it not being there.

As you know if you’ve been attending this party for very long, I hear about miracles every day. Readers write me with their “You’re never going to believe this” stories.  The other day I got an email from a woman in India who had written me 18 months earlier about her desire to attract a partner. Seems as if her parents had other ideas about her perfect soul mate. I wrote back and said something about trusting the universe had her back and knowing that it always, always wants what’s best. A few days ago, she wrote to say that she’s now happily married. And all she had to do was let go of her story that she was hopelessly single and that her parents would never approve of her choice.

Like the Brothers Grimm, we all have stories and we invest lots of energy in them. But let me say it again, your old stories have no relevance on your future unless you keep repeating them.

To manifest miracles, you have to let go of every story and just trust, deep down, that joy is your birthright, that good things are lined up for you and will flow in the very moment you release your old story. All your good is right there, waiting.

I often hear from musicians who, inspired by my work, write songs about E-Squared or about gratitude. I need to collect them all and put out an album.

Last year, I met an amazing musician named Claudia Carawan. She is the music director at Unity Bon Air in Richmond, Virginia. The day I spoke there, she played this song that, while she didn’t write for me, could easily be my theme song.

So, dear friends, please, do what this song says—get up every day and claim your blessing!

Why I’m the luckiest person on the planet, Episode 18

“I can’t just sit here vibrating with my own joy— I have to write about it, I have to share it.”
— David Mason

Thanks to the filter known as the brain, I often fail to notice the amazing gifts I receive in every moment. Right now, for example, I am getting free oxygen, support from a chair, light from the sun, technology that allows me to communicate with you even though I’m here in my Kansas office and you’re in Bangladesh, Seattle or Terre Haute, Indiana. The gifts stream in on a continuing basis.

I recently heard it called “the miraculous imbalance.” At all times, we receive  far more than we could ever give.

I love when I remember that.

Luckily,  I get reminded of the largesse of the universe every morning. I get emails from readers  who share incredible miracles with me. As I say in my new book, it’s like having my own personal self-help channel.

When I get a moment, I like to pass these stories on to you. Here are three I heard just this morning:

1. “Remember how you told us in E2 how badly you wanted to travel? And that you found the perfect job that allows you to do so? You write from any corner of the world, yes?

“Well. I made that my mission. And like you say, ‘the universe is always paying attention, it always has our backs.’

“I got fired from not one, but three different jobs, and I knew I had to continue sending out CV’s and do what I had to…..but then it hit me, did I?

“Instead of sending out 10 CV’s per day, I decided to take naps. So, that made me have a talk with creativity which inspired me to launch my own online language business.

“It has been a year now. I take my laptop anywhere I want to and work from there. And it doesn’t feel like I’m working so much as enjoying meeting people from different sides of the world.

“It is so awesome. Life is so good to you when you are good to yourself, and trust.

Right now, for example, I am sitting in an apartment I rented in the beautiful city of Queretaro, Mexico.

2. “Your book E2 came at the perfect time for me. I am a small business owner and I was struggling to find personnel for my store.

“Inspired by you, I decided to create a vision board where I put pictures of the type of people I wanted to attract along with the affirmation “the person I am looking for is also looking for me and will find me”.

Within 48 hours, I hired a girl who is perfect for me and is moving from Florida to Massachusetts… to the same town where my business is! We are meeting in three days.

Thank you for your wisdom and for reminding me what I had forgotten: we are magical beings.

3. The last story comes from a member of one of my possibility posses. She just graduated from college two weeks ago. Last week, while taking a shower, she thought to herself, “I think I’ll start looking for a job today.” She got out of the shower and found a message on her phone from an architect firm (that she hadn’t contacted or even heard of) asking her to call them for an interview. She starts today.

All you gotta do is ask: a Friday love story

“The universe waits for the perfect time to whisper in your ear, ‘Look this way.’”—Amy Poehler

15Thought I’d share a fun story to kick off the weekend.

A chiropractor from Marco Island was reading E-Squared. She asked for a sign about her relationship with her boyfriend who, after a beautiful winter together in Florida, was returning to Canada. Before boarding a plane to Tennessee (they were both flying to a friend’s wedding), she got very still and, from her heart, said, “Hey dude, I could use a sign about this wonderful man who is heading home soon to Canada!”

Here’s what happened:

1. The flight attendant congratulated them on their marriage. That was odd since a) they are not married, b) they are not engaged and c) they hadn’t mentioned they were heading to a wedding.

2. The taxi driver also congratulated them on their marriage. Again, why would he say something like this out of nowhere?

3. That night at dinner, after returning from the ladies’ room, she found a card waiting for her. It was from her boyfriend and it said, “When you know, you know.” Yep, even though she had no idea this was coming, he asked her to marry him.

4. The next day, at the wedding, where she was a bridesmaid, guess who caught the bouquet?

Congratulations to the happy couple. And congratulations to all of us who are starting to get it, that indeed the universe is just waiting for us to ask.

Your manufactor’s setting is the Divine.

“Jesus was the only son of God. And so are you and so am I.”—William Blake

In electronics, there’s a term known as factory reset—or master reset—where your device is returned to its original setting. All the information that has been added since say your laptop or your I-pad rolled off the factory floor is erased. It goes back to Square One.

That’s also a pretty good definition for spirituality. Our mission—if we choose to accept it—is to erase everything that isn’t the Divine. Things like fear, resistance, placing our attention on anything except this beautiful juicy moment.

As I repeatedly said in E-Cubed, joy is our natural state. And as I head into this weekend, I hereby commit to staying as close to that factory setting as I can.

Have fun this weekend, my beautiful friends. And remember one of the best ways to serve humanity is to send molecules of happiness and peace and gratitude out into the quantum field.

Why I’m the luckiest person on the planet, Episode 14

“Eventually you will see that the real cause of problems is not life, but the commotion the mind makes about life.”—Michael Singer http://angieaway.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/pura-vida-costa-rica-1.jpeg

I’m in Costa Rica, on a Pacific beach, hanging out with my daughter, writing my new book.

But that’s not why I’m the luckiest person on the planet. I’m immensely blessed because of all of you. You guys so rock! I’ve said it before, but I constantly feel like Sally Field when she gushed, “You like me, you really like me.”

So thank you for being so generous and kind and well, liking me and my running bra thoughts from the last post. It really blew me away. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I’m also constantly wowed by the cool stories you send that only add add further proof that the universe adores us all and is trying like bloody hell to point that out.

Here’s a story from Hillary from Toronto:

“I recently took my first vacation by myself to Paris. It was a last minute decision. I was at a work conference in Amsterdam. I was a little nervous that I’d be alone the entire time…especially during dinners!

“I do daily manifestations all the time because I love seeing them turn up in joyful ways. On the Sunday I arrived, I chose yellow bows to manifest. Sunday goes by and nothing, but I was exploring the Parisian streets so no big deal. Monday goes by…still no yellow bows…but I was having a great time none the less. I met some nice ladies at dinner.

“Tuesday I did a food tour, and it was awesome! My tour guide invited me for drinks after and helped me get to my next destination, the Catacombs! I still wanted my yellow bows though 😉

“She took me to the subway and explained how to get there. While I was on the subway, this guy in colorful attire noticed I looked confused as I stared at the mass intertwining of subway lines for the Paris underground. He asked where I was going and if I needed help.

Turned out he and his bandmates were going to the Catacombs as well, they were from L.A. (on a side note ever since I started pursuing being a musician, I am a musical magnet lol). I had such a great time with these guys, especially the colorful one that first approached me.

His name was Sal. We had a special connection immediately and spent the rest of the day and night together and decided to remain friends. Can you guess what color his shoe laces were?”

Big, bright yellow bows.

I’m offering a new experiment in the Hay House World Summit that begins May 9. If you register now, you’re entitled to five free videos. Hope to “see you” there.

How to start a chain of blessings with one easy step

“When you believe something, you have made it true for you.”—A Course in Miracles

If you’ve read my books or talked to me for more than say, 15 minutes, you already know I’m a HUGE fangirl of A Course in Miracles. It probably sounds more dignified to say “I’m a student of the Course,” but who wants to be dignified. Certainly not this dancing fool.

Besides the quote at the top of this post, I also read this passage (I’m paraphrasing) from the Course this morning: “Your safety, peace and joy are totally beyond question except by you. In fact, any perceived problems are not problems of fact. They are problems of understanding.”

So one of my goals is to change our understanding of the world. I’ve also called it changing the dominant paradigm. So here’s a little story I heard when I was in the Okanagan Valley the weekend before last:

Winfield, British Columbia is part of a little town with no more than 12,000 people. It’s wedged between a couple ski resorts and a beautiful lake. To give you some idea of its stellar beauty, let’s just leave it with this: the entire Okanagan Valley is popular with Canadian hockey players in the off-season.

One day, at the Winfield Tim Horton’s (Tim Horton was a well-known hockey player whose name now graces some 4600 coffee shops across Canada), a guy in the Sparkling Hill workshop I gave with Olympic coach Dirk Stroda told us he drove up to the window only to be informed that his coffee had been taken care of by the person in front of him. Inspired, he decided to “pay it forward” to the next car in line. Later, he was talking to his neighbor who works at that Tim Horton’s and was told the giving to the car behind went on for a full four and a half hours. FOUR AND A HALF HOURS of unbridled generosity. And you thought the world was a scary place?

What might you do today to start a chain of blessings?

Why I’m the luckiest person on the planet, Part Six.

“We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures.”
― Thornton Wilder

Some mornings when I’m running to pickleball (no need to be impressed. It’s a mere one block away), I repeat over and over in my head, “Thank you, God. Thank you, God. Thank you, God.”

And I feel so joyful, so lucky. I’ve found that the more I focus on my blessings, the more blessings knock on my door. It’s like Halloween night when so many adorable ballerinas, princesses and even miniature zombies show up to delight me. And all I have to do is provide a bowl of candy.

Yesterday, one of those blessings showed up in the form of Kris Carr, the bestselling author of Crazy Sexy Diet, Crazy Sexy Kitchen and lots of other yummy books.

She’s a former New York dancer, actress and photographer (all things that impress the heck out of little old Kansas me) who overcame cancer by changing her diet, boosting her immune system and focusing on the body’s natural healing power.

Yesterday, in a complete surprise to me, she wrote about E-Squared on her blog. Now, this is a celebrity who has been on Oprah. And because she was kind enough to mention her experience with the Dude Abides, the first experiment in my book, she introduced her millions of fans to little ole me.

Here’s a link if anyone cares to check it out.

So, thank you, Kris Carr, thank you, “Dude” and thank you to everyone who makes my morning affirmation “Something amazingly awesome is going to happen to me today” come true day after day.

In honor of Thanksgiving, tell me in the comments section below why you’re the luckiest person on the planet.

Pam Grout is the author of 16 books including E-Squared: 9 Do-it-Yourself Energy Experiments that Prove Your Thoughts Create Your Reality.

There’s more where that came from.

“This is the zone of reality creation: regularly picturing delights that don’t yet exist, emotionally detaching from them, and jumping into action when it’s time to help the miracles occur.”—Martha Beck

Just a quickie today! I had an utterly delightful breakfast with my Spiritual Entrepreneurs group and I’m now off on a road trip to visit my daughter at the farm where she’s interning with political refugees. Not only does she love it (duh! How could any spawn of mine not be giddily blessed), but she’s meeting beautiful people from Bhutan and Burundi and Burma, helping them take their fresh produce to farmer’s markets.

So….I’ve been thinking today about little tweaks I’m making in my consciousness, little adjustments that keep the airplane of my life en route and heading towards a joyful target.

Here are three itty bitty belief tweaks that have made an enormous difference in my life:

1. There’s more where that came from. Most of us have a tendency to believe in limits. Instead of realizing the infinity of our Source, we put the brakes on and worry there’s only so much to go around.

2. If it’s not fun, it’s not sustainable. Who isn’t talking about sustainability these days? The realization I’ve come to is that, in order to continue on our path of growth and self-awareness, it has to be viewed as a good time. As Esther Hicks like to say, “It’s always a good idea to sit at the fun table.” Every morning, I pre-pave a day that’s deliciously fun in every way, filled with adventures and blessings.

3.Everything flows smoothly and easily. I’ve talked before about the word “hard” and how, in my opinion, it’s the most dangerous four-letter word in the English language. If we expect things to be hard, we can certainly create life that way. As for me, I prefer creating a life where I simply open the doors and windows and let Source and all its accompanying blessings flow freely in.

Have the best day of your life!
