Excuse me while I duck into this phone booth

“Consciousness will whip up whatever we wish to experience and will present it to us in a way that is convincing and believable.”—David Bingham

While I’m slower than a speeding bullet and unable to leap tall buildings with a single bound, I do happen to possess an impressive superpower.

This rock-em, sock-em superpower has the ability to change not only my world, but the world that appears before my eyes.

My superpower is my attention. And how I dispose of it is the ultimate creative act. What I attend to with my consciousness renders the life I will experience.

I can place my attention on lack and limitation or I can place it on life’s never-ending blessings.

I can direct my attention towards displeasing situations and circumstances, to things I want to fix or change or I can actively direct my attention towards beauty.

And here’s the thing about consciousness. Where we choose to look starts hardening up. It becomes the only model we see, not because it’s the only available possibility, but because everything that doesn’t fit (those things we’re not paying attention to) are quickly rendered invisible. That’s why my attention is a superpower.

I heard a definition of abundance the other day that I really dig. Abundance is not about what you have. It’s about how you feel about what you have.

So, as always, you get a choice which phone booth to duck into, which reality you’re going to attend. Perhaps your decision could even qualify as a moral act.

Enjoy this brilliant Wednesday, friends!

  1. I agree. I live in a great 2 bedroom apartment that is very affordable and has all that I need. I would live a big old Victorian house, and someday may be there but I am a solo retired female and I don’t want a lot of headaches that might go with a house and I like the freedom I have to travel and live without too much stress. Actually no stress really. So I feel very abundant. I pray to the divine every day. To protect me and send love and health through the white light around me. I ask for love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, happiness, health, abundance, strength, and guidance. And for blessings of the same for my kids and. Grandkids

  2. P.S. I clicked on your profile icon because it looked different (‘P’ is for pretty,) and reread the opening statement:

“We, the greatest of all creators, with capabilities to build cities and inspire nations, are squandering our time watching reruns of The Office. We have forgotten that whole galaxies exist within our grasp.”

And so it is, according to belief. Indeed, it exposes the way of the world, and is a good reminder, but does it conjure up positive feelings within? I had to adjust my feelings about it. Prompted me to add this note to my earlier comment.

    Big Hugs, Penne Sue 💝

  3. Gratitude, gratitude, gratitude! It matters not what others may have. What I have is perfect for me and I’m always so grateful for everything!

  4. I love what you wrote. I was just reviewing this from ACIM:

T-16.I.1. To empathize does not mean to join in suffering, for that is what you must refuse to understand.

  5. This beauty phone booth is getting crowded.
So much gratitude, as always, Pam.
    Love to you

  6. Pam, I read a lot, and your blog messages are the absolute favorite thing in my inbox.

I live in an ABUNDANT Universe, of my own creation. First affirmation while rolling out of bed: I have everything I need, and all that I desire. The Universe provides it to me. ✨️

    1. I totally agree! This is the only mailing list I genuinely look forward to. If it were up to me, we would get these daily! 😅

  7. Thank you so much for your words, Pam. Please don’t hesitate to write another blog post tomorrow! haha This really resonated with me today: “Perhaps your decision could even qualify as a moral act.” This is so powerful. It affirms what I hope to be doing every day through both my work and my way of being: contributing to wholeness. 🤍

  8. Perfect timing with your post, Pam!!! I was “in need” of this loving and gentle reminder. You, as always, are a BLESSING in my life!! With much LOVE – Mermy, aka, Donna

  9. You never fail to bring me back home and inspire me to remember who and where \ /\ /\/\.
    Thank you.

  10. Thank you Pam for being part of our life journey and sharing your deepest discoveries along the way💖

  11. It’s imperative that we keep in mind ALWAYS, that we GET what we FOCUS on. So let’s focus on the GOOD SH*T! Have a magical and blessed day! {{Hedgehugs}} **The Karma Party** One Rule. Play Nice** ;o)

  12. Our attention is our superpower? Wow! That’s very cool Pam. Our very own phone booth that goes with is wherever we go, and doesn’t weigh a thing! 😄 And all we have to do is pay attention to where we’re putting our attention. And if we don’t like what we’re ‘seeing’ then we can change what we’re ‘looking at’ and soon we will ‘see’ something different. Yeah! Thanks for this Pam. Not only was it a great way of illustrating the power of attention, but it was a perfectly timed message for me today. Wooohoooo! 🥳☎️😍🌹🤗
