Eliminating the middleman

“Listen. The world is trembling into possibility.”—Margaret Renkl

As much as I’m tempted to just keep repeating, “Thank you, thank you, thank you” for the entirety of this post, I should probably temper myself and explain why I’m feeling such jubilation.

So first, take a bow, because it’s you guys — this beautiful community — that is cause for my rejoicing. I’m thrilled that so many of you have openly said, “Count me in” for the 30-day experiment.

I’ll reveal the details (it’s nothing hard or weird or costly) later this week.

In short, it’s about cutting out the middle man. Going straight to the root for answers.

In the last couple days, I’ve bought tickets to two different performances—one here in Lawrence, featuring my dear friend, Jay Pryor, and one for out-of-town next weekend.

Both times, in addition to the ticket prices, a fee was added for processing. I have no idea who this mysterious middleman is that gets the additional $7, but it got me thinking about all the in-betweens we believe are necessary.

For example, we think time must elapse before solutions can come. The Course says every so-called “problem” comes with a built-in solution. We think months, years, lifetimes must occur before our dreams come true. We think somebody else’s book or seminar will finally provide the key to that “life most extraordinary.”

The jam sessions I’ve been having with this invisible wise guy (and I don’t mean that in a derogative way) are proving to me that universal intelligence doesn’t require an intermediary. It’s available to all of us. At any time. And that’s what the experiment is about.

So far, in my own experimenting, I’ve been able to kick an early morning phone addiction. I’ve received a whole new writing project and well, the biggest thing is the sheer relief of no longer having to rely solely on myself.  Being separate and disconnected (as most humans are) is just too lonely—especially when this universal life stream is just so HERE. It’s as close as our breath, waiting silently and lovingly for permission to flow through us.

So again, thank you all. For everything. For the anonymous hedgehogs you send. For the beauty you see. For the love you allow to express through you.

This is an exciting time of emergence. And I’m overjoyed that y’all (hey, I was born in Kentucky), like me, are ALL IN. Stay tuned!

  12. I love the idea of having “jam sessions with the Invisible Wise Guy” (& I love that name for God/Spirit/All That Is. The Invisible Wise Guy – I think that’s my new favourite name for the un-nameable 😁🥳) Looking forward to the experiment very much! Thank you Pam 🙏🎉🥰
PS I love that Mary Oliver quote too. Kindness and mischief sounds like a delicious combination for a happy, balanced life 😁❤️💃

  13. You are sooo welcome, Pam. And thank you for changing the world…one heart at a time.🌷

  15. Hello Love! I AM ALL IN for the 30-Day experiment. I’ve been picking up my journal daily, though I’ll admit to not feeling totally tuned in just yet! I have had my moments. One of them being, that while I realize it’s not an original idea, a few weeks ago I began working on a signature talk called A Call to Love! Of course, I noticed the name of your last post! Though on that note – I’d never seen anyone use this acronym, and of course you just used the phrase…. let’s keep this connection flowing Y’ALL….YOU ARE LIMITLESS LOVE!

  16. I’ve never left a comment before (actually didn’t notice this until today!) but I’ve been a follower of you, your books starting with E-Squared & E-Cubed and so on… I began studying the ACIM Workbook for Students & Teachers 326 days ago – a few months after losing my sister Kim suddenly and very unexpectedly. As you can imagine, I’m in a completely different place in my life now as a result. I could’ve gone down the rabbit hole of despair – but now stand on the rock solid ground of my KNOWING that there’s nothing to fear, and my thoughts alone cause my pain! So, needless to say – you and I are on the very same page sister, and have been for a while now. I look forward to every one of your emails and I too am ALL IN. Thanks for being a part of my life and a bright light – I’m shining bright over here in my corner of the world too. 🙂 Sending you love. Julie

    1. Hello Julie! I too have a sister who is no longer physically with me. She was my BFF, not from the same parents. This song was part of the proof she was still very much with me – the story is longer – but I’ll let the lyrics do the talking. Look up on YouTube Shine by the Space Brothers with vocals – it’s a full on dance/trance music song – but I Helen’s you’ll be touched by the 2 verses & chorus. Keep Shining! Oops meant to write believe not Helen – but I’m so leaving it there incase it’s a sign! I have an Aunt Mary Helen who is definitely part of my TOA – Team of Angels 😇 💖
