In E-Squared, I mentioned that I appointed “the Dude” as CEO of my career. It was patently obvious that the faulty wiring I’d downloaded from my past had no business making any kind of strategic decisions in the fickle world of freelance writing. Clearly, I needed help.
Recently, I’ve added a new “hire” to the team. I’m calling it my cosmic secretary.
Since my only job, according to the Course in Miracles, is to be a conduit of light, I figure I need outside help to handle the minutia of every day life. The Course says it’s a waste of energy to get bogged down in to-do lists and details and trivia. What’s important is strengthening my spiritual mojo.
So, for now, there’s only one item on my daily task list—stay on the joy frequency. Everything else is assigned to my personal cosmic assistant.
Helen Schucman, scribe of the Course, balked when she was told to ask for guidance on even the smallest of details of her life. Her cosmic secretary (she, of course, referred to it as the Holy Spirit) even specified which winter coat to buy. And it assured her that, despite her objections, it wasn’t intruding on her free will. It was trying to free it. It was attempting to lead her to bigger possibilities.
So rather than depend on my own personal faculties, I’m turning my attention toward the infinite field of intelligence, asking it for guidance and noticing everything gets taken care of quickly, wisely and with supreme grace.
P.S. My cosmic secretary told me to mention she has a lot of colleagues that are currently looking for employment if anyone else needs a hand.

I do this all the time. Jesus is my PA (personal assistant). I not only ask for his help on so many things, I also thank him immediately for everything that goes right because I’m sure he had a hand in it.

What about taking inspired action? Is it keeping the end result in the forefront of thought or not? I recognize that “things” generally fall into place, it’s the inspired action that can trip me up.
Inspired action is the best kind of action. That’s why I hire the cosmic secretary to figure out what that is. My ideas are usually limited and stuck in the past.

Oh Pam, you’ve done it again! This post is perfect for me today! I have been working over a situation in my mind, trying to work out how it’s all going to work (even though I ‘know’ this is not the best way to handle things! 😬🙃🤪) I’m shaking my head and smiling at myself as I read your words that remind me I’m supposed to “let go and let the Cosmic Secretary handle the details!” Oh yeah! And I’m so glad to know that there are plenty of cosmic secretaries just waiting for us to hire them! Pam, I think I also will employ a cosmic secretary lol. Whilst I don’t mind a bit of a To Do list in helping me achieve my goals, I love the idea that all those smaller details are being taken care of by divine means. Thank you for the smiles and the inspiration. 😊💗🙏🏻

My grandfather was a Northern Conservative Baptist Evangelist in New England. My mother was a change of life baby. Years later, that grandmother lived with my family and we shared a bedroom until I was 7 or 8 years old. She taught me about love and respect for life. When I asked her what my grandfather preached, she told me hellfire and damnation. I was raised in the Northern Conservative Baptist church When I because an adult, I started to attend a church based on love and acceptance.
Love and acceptance is more aligned with the “God” I put my faith in.
This is more of a comment about your last post, going slow here. I welcome the frequent reminders, and appreciate you being a messenger, albeit I also see you as a teacher, of all the wonders that lay at our fingertips if we only can remember! Blessings and thank you Pam.

I love this post! (And all your posts). In the last two minutes my very newly appointed cosmic secretary has swooped in and lifted a weight from my shoulders. I love that it’s not my job to worry now. Bloody perfect!!! I have much more time to just bring joy and raise the vibration. Thanks Pam, and my CosMic secretARY. From now on, I shall say to any worrying thoughts C MARY (see Mary) and she will do whatever she does with them.
Cosmic helpers have such a bigger vantage point which makes it easier for them to get things done.

Ha! Love the cosmic secretary. My sister and I are known as the Cosmic Codes ( our real last name is Code). She is quite the oracle. Because I’m a writer, I tend to use a journal.
But just the act of recognizing there’s help available begins the process.
