Blame it on the boogie

Beware the stories you read or tell. Beneath the waters of consciousness, they are altering your world.”–Ben Okri1 bc

Kids’ computer games have undoubtedly evolved since my daughter Taz played them on the giant desktop (compared to today’s laptops, that early Gateway is a veritable behemoth) in my office.

Back then, she had several games where, by pointing a cursor at an item in a scene, it would came alive. For example, if she clicked on a cupboard door, it would open, music would play and a duet of dancing mice would pirouette across the shelf. Or she’d click on a flowerpot and it would shimmy and shake until its beautiful red petals rained to the ground.

Life is like those old computer games. When you put your attention on something, it literally comes alive. If you put your cursor on all the opportunities and love in the scenes of your life, that reality comes alive.

But if you continue to click on the monsters under the bed, they, too, are more than happy to put in an appearance. The thing is we’re the ones manning the dials. We’re the ones deciding where to point our cursors, where to send our attention.

Have the best weekend of your life, my friends! I trust it will include dancing.

  1. I just love it when I see your email in my inbox… when I put in practise what you write my life just gets so much better
    Thanks you so much Pam

  2. Exactly! Where attention goes, energy flows. Being much more careful these days. Have a wonderfilled weekend, Pam. Thanks for showing up. Deep gratitude. 😉

  3. My daughter used to play the same computer game – I loved it as much as she did. And that video – wow! I love everything about it! Have the best weekend of your lives, so far!

  4. hi pamie. notice that there are no ACIM lessons in your recent emails. wondering why. love peace and light lolo

    1. Hi Lois–I’m still doing ACIM lessons daily, but haven’t noticed any great wisdom to share. I’m sure I’ll be back!

  5. Yeah!! This is a fabulous analogy! Whatever we “click on” in our lives becomes alive in our lives, whether it’s joy, love and delight or pain, illness or lack. Got it! And that song was one of my favourites at the time, so thanks for the link – it’s gonna be boogieing inside my head all day 😁
Have yourself a magnificent weekend too dear Pam 👍🏻💖☀️

  6. Not only did my weekend include dancing, which I started again a month ago after a 12 year hiatus, I have been asking the FP to bring some friends into my life since I moved to a new area of the country. I met a woman you said she was really happy to get to know me because her friends, like Mine, are all over the country and not in close proximity.

  7. Pam…..talking boogie …..now…how’s about Flashdance

This so does that boingy, tummy joy thing for me. So much so, that today I shall be driving the “cafe Love train” delivering every single customer that comes in for a coffee, their usual skinny, decaf, 2 shot latte with coconut milk, together with a big fat portion of love to go. You kinda can’t keep this stuff in, can you….it sort of bursts out of your face in smiles and fizzes out of your chest.
