The perks of being a writer are many. One of my favorites is hearing from readers. I get more emails than I can begin to answer. I get emails in Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese and languages I can’t even identify.
Recently, I’ve been hearing from a cool couple of chicas in Ketchum, Idaho who have formed their own two-woman possibility posse. They started with the experiments in E-Cubed, then E-Squared and they’re now working their way through my latest book, Art & Soul, Reloaded. Terra regularly send updates and photos including a classic of her possibility partner hiking through gorgeous mountains in a bright red tutu.
They’re being wildly creative and having a blast which, to my way of thinking, is the absolute best way to instigate spiritual growth. Lots of teacher will tell you otherwise. They’ll encourage you to make lists of your issues, to rehash old stories, to follow five or six or seven steps that will eventually get you “there”—wherever “there” is.
ACIM Lesson 105 tells us it’s time to reverse all that starting with our view of giving. Giving, despite what we’ve been taught, involves no loss. None whatsoever.
Everything we give—joy, creativity, adventures in tutus—creates expansion. It creates growth. It generates more.
Anything of value, anything worth having will increase exponentially when you give it away. That’s why I encourage people to create things, to make things, to give away their gifts.
Forget the lists, the problems, the issues. Quickest route to spiritual growth is to play, create and give. Like my Ketchum friends, you’ll quickly come to realize there’s an endless more and more where that came from.

Giving truly does equal receiving. Actually, what you receive exceeds whatever you’ve given so on second thought, it’s not equal! What you get back is immeasurably more! If something you can’t measure can be quantified as more. Anyway you get what I mean!

Someone told me years ago that you can’t out give God. That’s been true so far. The more I give, the more my needs and desires are met. It goes out in one form and comes back as something else. I make a lot of stuff in my sewing/crafting room and keep almost nothing. It will all be passed along at sometime anyway but hearing that I lifted someone’s spirit a little at receiving the gift just does my heart a world of good. Then I go make something else to give away. My last husband was a pack-rat and had a hard time letting go of anything. When I pointed out good things that happened right behind the gifting, he got it. We didn’t need more stuff, we needed more joy. Then he started telling others about giving more. It was a win-win all around. Love this lesson!
It’s so nice that you are giving away the things that you are creating with your sewing/crafting. I still have the home made quilts, embroidered pillow cases, and crocheted dollies and Christmas ornaments that my 2 great aunts and grandmother made for me. They are cherished and loved.

So happy to have found Pam and this group in my sixty sixth year of life. I was so ready for this next level of transformation. I will retire from my years in an elementary school which I deeply loved in June. Come September I will be full time caring for my Grand daughter to be while my daughter goes back to teaching..
