I have been waiting to meet you all of my life

“Love is how you become a person and why.”—John Green1awesome

Recent lessons in A Course in Miracles (today, I’m on Lesson 57) have been reviews, where I solidify my commitment to free my mind, to give up my old stories, to choose peace.

Basically, I’m learning to “be new,” to see others as new, to see new possibilities.

Byron Katie, who has been married to Stephen Mitchell for 30-plus years, says she gasps every morning when she first sees him, as if she’s seeing this “incredibly precious” person for the very first time. There’s no baggage. There’s no story. She sees him as “new.”

Today, I choose to spend more time seeing the new and less time imagining the past.

I choose to see myself as a powerful radio tower for joy, for love, for connection.

I choose to emit goodness, to spew beauty, to broadcast molecules of happiness.

I choose to approach every person I meet with the attitude of Byron Katie, “I have been waiting to meet you all of my life.”

  1. Thank you. I really needed this one today. I feel like I am trudging through the deep sludge of history right now. With people. With situations. I haven’t the energy to keep doing this and didn’t have the aha moment of how to do it differently. Today I will be new.

  2. Awesome begins with finding your own joy! Enjoy!! Still at Ball’s, babysat her mom to give her a night off last night. Heading north later on. Possibility of me going to T.O. Dinner between your job n men’s night out!

  3. I love this line especially: “I choose to emit goodness, to SPEW BEAUTY, to broadcast molecules of happiness.” I’m going to have lots of fun today spewing beauty on everyone 😁 Thanks Pam – you are definitely a powerful radio tower for joy, love and connection 😘⭐️💗

  4. I love your posts! Thank you so much!! Regarding the 30plus years however, I think you are mistaken. In a Podcast Interview they told that they met in 2001. Still a pretty long time to still be gasping at his sight. 💕

  5. OH MY GOSH… I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS!!!!!!!!!!! I’VE BEEN WAITING TO MEET YOU ALL MY LIFE…AMAZING WAY TO LIVE EACH DAY AND EACH PERSON…THANK YOU X 10000

  6. Byron Katie is a first favorite who turned it all around for me. I hated her book the first time I started to read it because it was so contrary to everything I knew to be true. She set my stage for you, AH, and all the rest that have rescued me from a life of smallness and blame. My gosh, what a treacherous path that would have been. I learn something from everyone I see everyday and yes, I’m happy to meet you everyday all over again. It’s like an Alzheimer’s patient. They meet you for the first time each time. I thought that was just kind of wonderful. I introduced myself 3 times a day to my next door neighbor and we delighted in our new meeting. Others thought it ridiculous. I win. 🙂

  7. Yesterday I said to myself that it was going to be the day in my life. It was not a pleasant day at all. Can anybody explain to me why it happened

  8. I had most ridiculously amazingly awesome realisation while reading this post and the only way to show this off or to prove this was to change my profile pic and just hope its clear enough to get the big picture so to say… ‘This is what awesome looks like’ – I thought to mySELF I’ve seen that somewhere today! So, I strip off my work shirt to find that I’m wearing the t-shirt that I have the exact same text right across my back! Now! How AWESOME IS THAT???
