What “they say” is completely irrelevant

“Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself”.- George Bernard Shaw 773048
They say you should follow the rules.

They say you need eight hours of sleep every night.

They say you should avoid sugar, stay away from gluten.

They say love hurts.

They say lots of things that, as far as I’m concerned, are only true if you decide to subscribe to them.

The real question is what do you say, what do you believe, what do you want to be true?

  1. Abbi, Here is a blog from Pam Grout, she rocks with helping people attract what they want in life… She is a nice giver, we have corresponded a few times/ she has also put up with my silliness when I was doing the exercises in her first book… I have her two books, E-Squared blew me away when I did the exercises… I believe you may find what she is sharing interesting too… Have a wonderful day and I will share more soon… Victor

  2. So funny this is the theme of the email today but in a way I’m not surprised as it’s the universe talking…I planned to write a blog post on my blog, Sturdy Mom Central, very similar to this related to what “they say” about parenting advice. Love reading the email blog posts!

  4. I totally agree, but how do you convince yourself that (your example) gluten or sugar are OK ?
What precisely should we do ?

  5. I love this topic! I have heard entirely to many “they say/said” from neuropsychologist to lawyers (since my head injury). Because of all the “they says” I have been going through my own dark night of the soul and finally coming to terms with being able to create who I want to be with my new “normal.” It has taken a lot of time, reading, praying, and grieving to embrace this journey, but I am ready to let the process of growing commence 😉 I am no longer listening to what “they say” again-happy, happy, joy, joy, and moving forward- amen!!!
