Walk a mile in the moccasins of wonder and awe

“You’re here to localize a cosmic celebration.”—Michael Beckwith chalk-cute-drawing-happy-sunshine-walking-on-sunshine-40585

You’ve probably heard the proverb, “Do not judge a man until you walk two moons (or a mile) in their moccasins.”

So today, I’d like to give you a little taste of what it’s like to walk in the moccasins of the Field of Potentiality–or the universe, God, Cosmo Kramer, take your pick of descriptions.

Here’s a small sample of what the F.P. gets on a daily basis:

You: “I really want to travel.”

F.P.: “Great! I’d love to set that up for you, but it would be helpful to know where you want to go?”

You: “Ummm, well, maybe Paris. Or wait. No, I really want to go to the Caribbean. Except, no, I always wanted to learn to tango in Buenos Aires. But wait, can I really afford it?”

These are the kind of messages the F.P. gets all day, every day.

On one hand, we want a new car, but on the other, won’t that mean higher payments? We hope for a positive outcome, but isn’t optimism a bunch of baloney? We want to be committed to so-and-so, but what if she leaves?

Every thought, feeling and vibration influences the F.P. And the ONLY reason we don’t turn water into wine and heal illness with one touch is because our thoughts are scattered all over the place. Instead of being one, constant, well-aimed tuning fork, our thoughts are like a junior high band of trumpet players.

The force is literally bouncing off walls. Got this way. No, wait: go that way. It’s knocking around like a lightning bug in a Mason jar. This amazing all-powerful force that works with the certainty of mathematics is is being dissipated because we have no clear bead on what we really want.

It’s not that the F.P. isn’t handing over your intentions. It’s just that you’re confusing it by intending way too many, completely opposite things.

So give the F.P. a break. And remember, that you can just as easily choose to view every day as a magnificent spiritual adventure, knowing you are loved deeply. You can walk every day on sunshine.

  1. Dear Pam Grout, I read you posts and they fill me with love and light. Thank you! Pea shoots of hope for the future spring from my heart when I read your words, and the world is a better place because of your kind & thoughtful work. Here’s a toast; to ‘nutritious’ people, to waking the love dragon in all of us, drinking from the cup of kindness and to cheering for another day. We all have so many choices, the best one being to choose a ‘vitamin’ filled perspective right here, right now.

    1. I needed to read this today; as my thoughts scatter a lot; I would really like to be friendlier with Jason but sometimes I think that my age 75 is not conducive to his age 25; so I’ll focus more on being friendlier with Jason; Thank you;

  2. Yes! I love this. 🙂 Literally one minute before reading your awesome post, I had written to someone that 2017 is the year that I commit to stop being distracted. I am taking myself on a retreat this weekend to come up with one main priority for 2017. I will stay focused and clear. I will practice becoming a channel for the FP rather than getting mired in emails and social media. I am going to unsubscribe from a lot of distracting emails, but not from yours, Pam! Your posts always bring me back to clarity + vitality! Big thanks. 💥💓💥

  3. Hi again Pam! Thank you so much for being one of my biggest teachers for the past 4 years of my life!

As I told you before, I have been working on my own blog for some time now. I was hoping I could ask you a question or two for some much needed wisdom and tips on blogging. In return, I would love to proofread your blogs. I have over a decade of editing experience with articles, short stories, and novels. Because of my background I always see little things when I read your blogs (I’ve read nearly all on pamgrout.com) and would be honored to look over them in the future for free!

Thanks again and hope you have an amazingly awesome day!

  4. Pam, I’ve read your books and did the practical portion. Honestly, I had a couple of great responses from the universe. My problem does not lie with the readings it lies in my own mind. I believe in the power but I do not believe in myself. I love your words, thank you.

  5. This so reminds me of what I read this morning:

“Motivation is good, but it will fizzle. Discipline is what will make you successful and accomplish your goals!”

If you think about this statement it is so very true! You can be motivated to run 7 miles this morning, but it takes discipline to run 7 miles everyday! Discipline of ones thoughts is one of the most important things to learn to do.

That is one of the reason I discipline myself to read yours and others positive uplifting reminders!
    Thanks
    “.”

  6. Hi Pam!

Kindly guide me. I need $3500 by tomorrow to pay my daughter’s school or they will disenroll her. I don’t have the funds, but I know FP does. I feel a blockage when calling forth help. Kindly guide on how to handle this.

    Thanks in advance.

    1. Dear Doris, While we wait for Pam to reply, I’d suggest just focus on end result that is your child stays enrolled. THat’s it. “My child continues his studies smoothly and effortlessly” And let this statement take you wherever it takes you. If it takes you to visualize the amount fully paid – be it. If it takes you seeing yourself smiling ear to ear while doing something else – be it, do it.
Uni is really loving and I promise you that your request is granted, fee is paid in full and u can’t stop thanking Universe and ur angels.
      Love and Light

      1. You just made me smile from ear to ear with your generous words of wisdom to guide Doris. Doris keep focusing on the fact that you will have this money come to you, even if it is the day after you needed the money. You don’t know how and you don’t know when but your daughter will somehow be miraculously guided to a way to continue her studies. Ask the Universe for her education to be paid for until she is finished. Remove any guilt asking for something that seems too large. The Universe doesn’t rate a person by what they ask for. Dream big.

  7. Happy New Year to you Pam. Thanks for starting my first week off with such clarity in your post. Off to claim more clarity for what I ask for. There is no sense giving directions without naming the best way to get there. Cheers to a F.P filled 2017.

  8. Happy New Year, Pam, and thanks for the reminder to focus on the positive. I knew I needed the reminder when I noticed that the first thing I thought of when I saw the bare feet on the sun was a bathroom scale. But I really do prefer to walk in sunshine.:)

  9. I love your encouragement and reminders! …A couple days ago, we installed a doggie door for our two pups. One of them, a Queensland Healer and smart as a tack, took to it right away and is happily going in and out whenever she pleases. My Scottie however, is a bit shy and has needed tons of encouragement, praise, treats and gentle pushes to know how it works and to start using it. He forgets that easy freedom to the backyard is available whenever he wants it. Well, I’m like my Scottie. I forget the beautiful freedom available in this incredible universe. Your emails remind and encourage me, and I am so appreciative. Thank you!!

  10. Hi Pam,

Thanks for today’s post; I read E-Squared and it has helped revolutionize my thinking! Also, just wanted to mention a couple of typos I noticed (highlighted). Have a great day!

    Sincerely,

    Joanne Evanoff

  11. Hi Pam,
I recommend you to get introduced to one of most Ancient and profound philosophies “Adviata Vedanta”.

There are series of lectures by Swami sravapriyananda. I am sharing the link to the 1st lecture below

I am sure it would be profound and life changing to anyone

  12. Hi Pam

I just recently experienced exactly what you were speaking of in your article. On a Sunday I declared I am ready to move forward with my artwork and getting it into the world. Then I declared I am ready for a new car with out any financial burden. I let those two things go I went about my day. Out of the blue on Monday I got an email from a friend asking if I would be interested in making my own greeting cards and making my own prints of my paintings, also having a website? Of course I would. How exciting! She responded with I want to gift you with $1500 to put toward making that happen. I was floored and elated and in such gratitude. On Tuesday out of the blue, my son calls and ask if I am interested in having a 2012 Honda Civic? I said that would be great and it would have to be an incredibly good deal. He replied it is, I’m giving it away. My precious son gave me his car, had the dent fixed, completely detailed inside and delivered it to me on Christmas. A new car to me much newer than what I had and in perfect condition. I was brought to tears and to my knees in gratitude that the universe had heard and responded so quickly and beautifully. Also said I want to sell my old car of 17 years of age, Easily. I mentioned to a friend I wanted to sell it. He was selling a car to someone that buys and sells cars. He brought him down to my house and the man bought it . Never even had to put out a for sale sign. And I realize in reading your article it was my clarity that made this happen. I am so blessed and I am so grateful for all of it including you and the work you have gifted all of us with. Thank you Pam for sharing your gifts with the world. Love and peace Anne in Dallas
