“The secret is to gang up on the problem.” —Thomas Stallkamp

“Each new friend gives rise to the possibility of anything!”
― Stephen Richards

If you’re a regular at this blog, you know how much I love my Lawrence power posses and how important I think it is for all of us to “gang up” on the problem of lack and limitation.

I am so thrilled that groups are forming all over the planet to talk about the principles in E-Squared. From what I hear, there are Facebook groups, Sunday discussion groups and well, I can’t even keep up with all the E-Squared activity.

Since I get together with my one of my posses every Sunday (they’re like my own personal pit crew who help me change my flat tires when I’m heading in the wrong direction), I often have a great story to tell on Monday.

Carla, who I quote quite often in this blog, told a story about being on tour in India with a friend who, out of the blue, said, “I’d like to go see the Bollywood movie, My Name is Kahn, tonight.”

“O–KAY!!,” Carla thought, wondering how her friend was going to make that happen since she didn’t have a car, didn’t know her way around and didn’t exactly have the skills to negotiate one of the most populated countries in the world.

Their tour bus pulled up to their new hotel later that afternoon and right across the street was a movie theater playing (drum roll, please) “My Name is Kahn.”

If you can name it, you can claim it.

Also want to share this new word that came from Rhonda, another regular from the posse:

Have a great week, all you quanitrelles! Make it the best, most passionate of your life.

Today’s weather forecast: an ongoing avalanche of miracles and blessings

“Are you the kind that sees signs, that sees miracles? Or, look at the question this way: Is it possible that there are no coincidences?”
― M. Night Shyamalan

I’ve heard we teach what we want to know. Well, I’d hardly call myself a teacher. More like a never-ending student who likes to share her toys with others

But one thing I’m learning is that magic (or what we like to think of as magic) shows up as consistently as the postman once we’re open enough to let it in.

And while I’ve known that precious piece of info for some time, I get confirmation day after day as people send me their stories of doing the experiments in E-Squared. Here’s one I love that showed up last week:

Leslie Strom, who gave me permission to share this, was trying the Dude Abides Experiment, the one where you ask the Big Guy for a clear, unmistakable sign.

Here’s her lab report sheet—straight from the email she sent me:

Hour 12/48: Sunday morning, drove to Starbucks downtown Tacoma. Every stall was full of museum-goers’ cars. A car pulled out, I pulled in, and it was exactly in front of the door. Could not have been more perfect. I took it as a sign, and then requested another gift, something bigger.

Hour 39/48: Monday morning, drove to Starbucks Old Town Tacoma. Before I got out of the car, I checked my email on my phone. A company wants me to do all their HR forms exclusively. Our sales guy doesn’t know where the lead came from. I phone them. It’s a giant bucket of potential work. New business isn’t unexpected and potential isn’t a gift, really. So I asked for another gift, even more unmistakable.

Hour 42/48: Went home via 6th Avenue. Passed the Artco store, thought I’d run in to see if they carry watercolor postcard paper. Looking for art supplies, I stop cold. In the wall decorations section of the store, on an end cap, is a whimsical large sign in a vintage script that said:

IF YOU ARE WAITING FOR A SIGN, THIS IS IT.

Imagine standing in a crafts store full of purple glittery holiday stuff, thinking, “I still want another sign since I’m not sure those other things were actual signs,” and seeing this:

Exp 1 sign

Abundance, hoarders and why I’m a whole lot richer than Donald Trump

“I wanna be on the cover of Forbes magazine
Smiling next to Oprah and the Queen.”—Travie McCoy and Bruno Mars

I didn’t make Forbes’ list of billionaires in 2013. Unlikely, I’ll make it next year either. But I do know a secret that makes me deserving of the list.

I know with complete certainty that the world is limitless, abundant and strangely-accommodating. I also know that anything I could ever need or want is as easy to manifest as plugging in the toaster.

Take the last couple months, for example. I’ve spent the night in a Sultan’s Palace in Istanbul, the same palace that hosted Oprah, Madonna and Kobe Bryant. I’ve been on safari in Namibia, walked the beaches of Florida’s Anna Maria Islands.

Those billionaires? I doubt they could spare the time.

In fact, the only difference between me and “The Donald” is I choose not to carry my riches around. It’s comforting to know that anything I could ever want to do is available to me, but why flaunt it or drag around a bunch of material baggage?

In fact, I’d like to argue that amassing $7 billion, the dollar amount Trump claims to be worth, is not that different than hoarding old newspapers, leaky buckets and all the other junk collecting in the homes of the dysfunctional folks we watch on the A&E show, “Hoarders.”

No, my role model is Peace Pilgrim who, when she was very young, made an important discovery: “Making money is easy.”

Which is why she could give up her earthly possessions and walk around the world with nothing but the clothes on her back. As she said about her 28-year-old journey, “Life is full. Life is good. I have a feeling of always being surrounded by all of the good things, like love and peace and joy. It’s like a protective surrounding.”

That’s all anyone really needs. To know with sure conviction that “the world is limitless, abundant and strangely accommodating.”

Seems like a pretty good Thanksgiving notion to me.

Lack is a mirage. The three best strategies for getting to the holy land.

“Avail yourself of possibilities.”—Mike Dooley

Peter Jackson was paid $20 million for the script of King Kong. You’re not getting paid to create drama, so methinks it’s time to write a different script. Here’s how:

1. Give yourself an Academy Award for the amazing “drama” you’ve created thus far. In a world that brims with beauty and plentitude, the fact that you have been able to create such a convincing “story” of lack and struggle is truly an accomplishment. The special effects you have employed to overlook the world’s unending largesse are truly mind-bending. Take a bow and ask yourself, “If I have been this successful at creating separation and pain (and believe me, we’re all worthy of gold medals) what else might I create with a little imagination?”

2. Use the feeling for rocket fuel.
Once you get it that everything is your creation, you can use the emotions, the intense feeling to propel you into a different story. The only reason you’re still starring in the same, worn-out show (it should have been cancelled in 1989 when Seinfield went off the air) is because you’ve pitched a tent. You’ve completely forgotten that there are lots of other destinations on the map. Because you endlessly harp about “where you are” and “what’s going wrong,” you’ve driven in the stakes. At any time, you can move to a different location, a different story, a different reality.

3. Zip it up. With our words, we prophesy the future. You may not like the site of your present tent, but there is no need to tell the world about it. Use your words (do I sound like a parent or what?) to tell a more pleasing story. No matter where you’re camped, there are blessings and miracles nearby. Instead of belly-aching about the script, the campsite, the life you’re currently experiencing, focus in on everything that’s going right. Use your words to vocalize that. Once you begin to use your laser superpowers for possibilities, miracles and joy, you will suddenly find yourself on a whole new stage, accepting a whole new Oscar.

More evidence that I’m the luckiest person on the planet.

“Change your narrative, change your life.” –Joan Borysenko

As anyone who reads this blog knows, I consider myself one supremely lucky gal. I sit here in my little Kansas office and, because I believe in the world’s unlimited good and expect to find unceasing joy, the most amazing things come pouring in. In the last month alone, I’ve been invited to Turkey (where I’m going in September for a travel assignment) and Namibia (where I’m going in October for yet another assignment).

Because I’ve let go of trying to figure everything out, a skill I discovered I was sorely lacking in, the universe has stepped up to bless me beyond anything I could have ever conceived.

Lately, I’ve been blessed with hundreds of inspiring stories that show up in my inbox completely unbidden. I’ve always been a huge fan of inspiring literature, so now I just turn on my computer and voila! manifestation stories out the wazoo.

For example, Lori from Missouri was conducting the Dear Abby experiment, where you ask for specific guidance around some issue that’s troubling you. Here’s what she wrote:

“My question was should I go ahead with my planned home refinance. I live in a rural part of Missouri with train tracks in front of my home. As a train speeds past my house I’m looking at the grafitti. In bold large letters is the word NOPE. Go figure, right?

“This morning, I was sitting outdoors and I said aloud, “Am I safe to assume that NOPE was my neon sign message?” At that instant I hear the ding, ding, ding of the railroad crossing and here comes another train. The train was heavy with coal requiring two engines to pull it. Both doors on the second engine were wide open and swinging in the wind. This is unheard of. The very next car was labeled with this grafitti. “Feel free to ask us. I love you. I love you.”

Another reader (and this just cracked me up) was approached by a guy dressed as a giant nutrition bar (Mr. Peanut is just so yesterday) and offered not one, but three Zone Perfect cherry chocolate bars.

And yesterday, GloZell Green, the famous comedienne and YouTube star who attended 600 consecutive tapings of The Jay Leno show (her “My Push up Bra will help me get my man” has gotten some 20 million hits), sent me this hilarious picture.

“Anything will give up its secrets if you love it enough.”―George Washington Carver

We are connected as One through our divine link with God.”
–Eben Alexander

One of the millions of things I LOVE about my job is I can work wherever I am. Right now, I’m visiting my sister in Savannah, Georgia where boiled peanuts are sold at every roadside stand.

For me, it’s impossible to think about peanuts without thinking of George Washington Carver, the great American scientist and inventor who came up with hundreds of uses for the lowly legume and practically saved the economy of the South after the boll weevil devastated the cotton crop. He was one of the first Americans to be invoked into Britain’s Royal Society of Arts and was friends with three American presidents.

And while yes, he had several advanced degrees and taught at several colleges, he was the first to admit that all his “scientific” discoveries, the brilliance that made him so famous came from his connection to God or what I call the “Field of Potentiality.” (The F.P.)

Every morning, very early, George Washington Carver got up and walked for many miles. He connected with nature and it was that communion, indeed the plants themselves that told him how to turn peanuts and soybeans and sweet potatoes into the more than 100 commercial products he developed.

As he said, “I love to think of nature as an unlimited broadcasting station, through which God speaks to us every hour, if we will only tune in.

“Reading about nature is fine, but if a person walks in the woods and listens carefully, he can learn more than what is in books for they speak with the voice of God. ”

He said he never had to grope for methods. Anything he needed to know was easily revealed to him.

“Without God to draw aside the curtain,” he said, “I would be helpless.”

Likewise, Einstein, the man we credit as being the world’s foremost genius was connected to this higher energy.

Call it what you will, but nature, God, the F.P. has answers to every alleged “problem” and “devastated economy” that seems to challenge us. Once we let go of “all we think we know” and make it our goal to connect to this unlimited, all-knowing, all-loving force, new discoveries and brilliance will rush in from every side.

“I have an insane belief in my own ability to manifest things.”–@JimCarrey

“If you wish to understand the Universe, think of energy, frequency and vibration.”—Nikola Tesla

In E-Squared, when introducing the Abracadabra Principle (Whatever I focus on expands), I mentioned that Jim Carrey wrote himself a $10 million check (for acting services rendered) long before he ever made a movie.

I just discovered (check out the video at the end of this post) that he also used to go to Mulholland Drive every night and visualize directors wanting his services. As he jokes in the video, bookstores should probably rename the self-help section “The Jim Carrey” wing.

As he says, not one thing has ever been created without intention.

Enjoy!!

“Today, let us swim wildly, joyously in gratitude.” – Rumi

“Traditional human power structures and their reign of darkness are about to be rendered obsolete.” –Buckminster Fuller

Happy Monday, y’all!! It’s spring and the birds are serenading, the flowers are popping up everywhere and I can actually open my windows for the first time in weeks.

And while this doesn’t usually occur to me, some people think of spring cleaning this time of year. You know, that ritual where you throw out all those clothes that haven’t been in style since Chandler Bing married Monica.

Well, the spring cleaning I’m devoted to is tossing out all the useless ideas I picked up when I was a kid, all those “You cant’s. It’s hard. Why bother?”

Before the age of 5, pretty much everything we hear and experience is sucked up like a vacuum cleaner. And, sadly, that’s the programming that still runs so much of our lives.

Despite our affirmations, our intentions to grow and thrive, we’ve got this five-year-old consciousness running the show. Before you’re five or six, your brain operates in mostly theta wave mode which is perfect for picking up language, family nuances and other stuff you need to know. Unfortunately, it also picks up messages that don’t exactly serve you.

For example, the minute you got sick, ran a fever above 99-degrees, your well-meaning parents trotted you off to the doctor. The message you got from that is “you need something outside yourself to heal.”

Had they instead insisted in the Truth—that your body knows good and well how to heal itself—you’d have that programming running your life.

Anytime, we’re not in the present moment (with me, most of the time), the subconscious programming, that darned five-year-old, the default mode runs the show.

So, yeah, I should probably lose the red turtleneck, the Ugg boots and several other items that would make better Halloween costumes, but the cleaning I am most interested in is getting rid of all those no-longer-useful ideas that I unwittingly drag around like a ball and chain.

In this moment, in this glorious now moment, I am joyful, abundant and as perfect as those flowers boisterously showing off in my front yard.

Still waiting for your dreams to come true? Don’t blame the universe. Perchance it’s your convoluted thoughts?

“There are certain laws which govern the process of acquiring riches, and once these laws are learned and obeyed, riches will come with mathematical certainty.” –Wallace D. Wattles

You’ve probably heard the proverb, “Do not judge a man until you walk two moons (or a mile) in their moccasins.”

So today, I’d like to give you a little taste of what it’s like to walk in the moccasins of the Field of Potentiality–or the universe, God, Cosmo Kramer, take your pick of descriptions.

Here’s a small sample of what the F.P. gets on a daily basis:

You: “I really want to travel.”

F.P.: “Great! I’d love to set that up for you, but it would be helpful to know where you want to go?”

You: “Ummm, well, maybe Paris. Or wait. No, I really want to go to the Caribbean. Except, no, I always wanted to learn to tango in Buenos Aires. But wait, can I really afford it?”

These are the kind of messages the F.P. gets all day, every day.

On one hand, we want a new car, but on the other, won’t that mean higher payments? We hope for a positive outcome, but isn’t optimism a bunch of baloney? We want to be committed to so-and-so, but what if she leaves?

Every thought, feeling and vibration influences the F.P. And the ONLY reason we don’t turn water into wine and heal illness with one touch is because our thoughts are scattered all over the place. Instead of being one, constant, well-aimed tuning fork, our thoughts are like a junior high band of trumpet players.

The force is literally bouncing off walls. Got this way. No, wait: go that way. It’s knocking around like a lightning bug in a Mason jar. This amazing all-powerful force that works with the certainty of mathematics is is being dissipated because we have no clear bead on what we really want.

It’s not that the F.P. isn’t handing over your intentions. It’s just that you’re confusing it by intending way too many, completely opposite things.

So give the F.P. a break. And remember, that it’s your thoughts that need fine-tuning, not the F.P.

A Successful ‘God Experiment’ (True Story)

This is a blog post from Frederick Zappone, who wrote me before I left on my travel writing assignment. Enjoy!!!

You can go on over to his blog here:

We all have a name for the ‘organizing intelligence of the universe’ that I call God. Recently I came across a series of experiments where I could prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that this ‘intelligence’ not only heard my intentions but would manifest my intentions into my physical reality in the time-frame I gave it. This experiment didn’t allow me to specify what the gift/blessing would be (the fourth experiment does). I only had to be open to receiving whatever blessing or gift the universe wanted to send my way.

In this first experiment, I was to request an unexpected gift/blessing from this ‘intelligence’ and set a short deadline of 48 hours for it to fulfill my request. The gift/blessing had to be totally unexpected and had to show up in a way that it was proof positive, to me, that this ‘intelligence’ heard me and responded to my request.

I followed the directions and made my request for the gift/blessing on April 2nd at 2:30 PM with the deadline for my request to be fulfilled by April 4th (today) by 2:30 PM.

I must admit I had some doubts but kept my focus on this ‘intelligence’ keeping it word and delivering to me what I asked for. When I had doubts, I told the ‘intelligence’ I really needed the proof and I really needed for this to happen because I wanted to become much better at manifesting the things I wanted out of thin air. I have been able to do this in the past in a ‘hit or miss’ fashion but now I wanted to be able to do it consciously, at will.

Today at 10 AM, I took my dogs out for a walk and at the same time, reminding this ‘intelligence’ that it had 4 1/2 hours left to present me with an unexpected gift/blessing. I also ask it to make me ALERT so I wouldn’t miss my gift or blessing..

As I was walking back home with my dogs, I was thinking about the unexpected gift I was waiting for and hoping it would be a SIGN that I was on-track in regards to my book Love Is All I Know being successful.

As I reached the intersection of Alexander and Guthrie Streets, I heard someone call out my name. In front of me, in a white pick up truck, was Jackie, Vona’s (my fiance) new daughter-in-law. I like Jackie a lot but there is no reason for her to visit me but she was indeed coming to visit me. She said she wanted to interrupt my day, that she had something to give me.

I was puzzled, I couldn’t figure out what she could possibly have for me. She ask me if I was headed back home. I said yes, she said she would meet me back there….

I got back to the house, brought the dogs in and went to the front door to let Jackie in. When she came in the door, she had a package for me. She said she was down in Virginia Beach visiting her mom over Easter. She said she was in a little store and saw a sign that reminded her of me so she bought it for me as an unexpected gift.

It was 11:30 AM when she gave me the package and immediately upon opening it, I got goosebumps because the ‘organizing intelligence of the universe’ that I call God responded to my request perfectly. It was the unexpected gift/blessing, I asked for, from a person who had no reason at all to bless me with a gift within the time frame of my request to the universe. In addition, she was totally unaware of my experiment until I told her about it after I received her package.

The gift she gave me also answered my question about what’s required, on my part, to make sure my book Love Is All I Know, becomes a bestseller. Below you will see a picture of the unexpected blessing/gift I received today with its emphatic message to me regarding the success of my book. – Frederick Zappne

The experiment I performed and wrote about in this article was taken from Pam Grout’s fascinating book titled: E-Squared: Nine Do-It-Yourself Energy Experiments That Prove Your Thoughts Create Your Reality (Hay House Insights)
