Don’t forget to show love

“Do things for people not because of who they are or what they do in return, but because of who you are.” –Harold Kushner1a2

I figure I have a choice. I can either read the political news which is the equivalent of dumping toxic sludge into my brain. Or I can read about superheroes like 5-year-old Austin Perine who started his caped crusade when he was only 4.

For an entire year, this mini superhero has literally put on a red cape and passed out chicken sandwiches at a homeless shelter in Birmingham, Alabama.

He started with his weekly allowance, but then Burger King got wind of his campaign and decided to pony up another $1000 worth of sandwiches. Steve Harvey threw in another $5 grand and before he knew it, little Austin was traveling to shelters all over the country.

Although Austin’s story has been making the rounds for about a year, I just learned about him. I particularly like the fact that he zooms by (like the superhero he is), tossing sandwiches and shouting, “Don’t forget to show love.”

It’s stories like Austin’s that the 222 Foundation is looking to support. And I am so glad that, in the next few months, I’ll be feeding my own soul with news like Austin’s.

Thanks, everybody, for showing so much love.

“If you see it in your mind, you can hold it in your hand.”—Steve Harvey

“There’s a flow of the universe that I’ve grown to know. Just have to go with it.”—Will Smith

If you’ve ever installed an inkjet printer cartridge (and I KNOW you have since they seem to need replacing every 50 or so pages), you’ve undoubtedly noticed the installation message on your computer screen, the one that asks you to match up the five or six horizontal lines. You’re asked to pick which of these half dozen or so examples provides the very best alignment. The idea is that if the printer heads are properly aligned, you get clearer, crisper copy.

The same principle works in our manifesting lives. When we’re properly aligned, Source has no resistance. There’s nothing to keep the ink (or, in our case, the intention) away.

When the inkjets are properly aligned, everything flows smoothly, everything works.

Sadly, most of us spend much of our lives OUT of alignment. Instead of training ourselves for positive expectation, we slice and dice the apparent “what is.”

Our reasoning goes like this: “Show me the money” and then I’ll feel joy.

But that’s not how it works. That’s not how you align with Source.

You align with Source by feeling happy, by feeling joy no matter what. Instead of letting the “apparent reality” dictate your feelings, you line up with Source that knows nothing but peace, joy, perfect contentment.

When you continue to bemoan the fact the money’s not in your bank account, you deprive yourself of Source alignment. Source is nothing but pure joy and when you’re busy documenting and discussing “what appears to be” you are NOT fully lined up.

Jerry Hicks used to carry a card in his wallet listing goals he hoped to accomplish. Finally, when his understanding changed, he threw the card away, because he knew that whatever he needed or wanted would flow right in whenever he needed or wanted it.

Goals are only necessary until we get lined up with Source. Once that happens, once we get perfectly lined up with Source, things show up immediately.

In fact, alignment and enlightenment, a popular word in spiritual circles, are synonyms.

Once you’re aligned with source, you have everything. Everything.

So I repeat. The best way to line up your manifestation ink jets is to train yourself for positive expectation. The apparent “what is” is old news. The current news, the Reality of Source, is joy.

Ignore what doesn’t please you. It’s passé. It’s history. And it will cease to be once you line up those manifesting inkjets.
