It’s time, guys! Time to break free from all stale, boring, petrified concepts.
Why stay trapped in a prison of scarcity, a ticking time bomb of fear? A Course in Miracles is very clear—the dominant paradigm is nothing but a make-believe fable that we can overturn at any time.
Once we let go, we discover it’s safe to love with abandon, it’s prudent to see beyond appearances, it’s advisable to dance with the unseen.
As Kobe Bryant’s shocking death reminds us, there is no time to waste. Why devote even one second to judgment? To waiting? To withholding?
Kobe is on to the next big adventure, as is his daughter, as is my daughter. Won’t be long until we’re all enjoying the big cosmic dance.
But until then, let’s throw off the shackles of anxiety and panic. Let’s overturn frozen concepts.
Maybe we could just trust the universe might know what it’s doing.
And with that thought, I’d like to return to my former practice of sharing “oh wow! stories from my inbox:
1. “I was in Nevada walking through a desert ranch with my boyfriend. As we were running back to the car, I stopped and picked up a black rock in the sand. I put it in my backpack and promptly forgot about it…until a week later when someone posted a picture on Facebook of a black rock they found on the ground at a concert. The same concert I had been at a few days prior ! I thought “Oh shoot, that’s my Nevada rock! I ran to my bag and it was unzipped!!!! But when I reached my hand in, it was there! Safe and sound!
“Now I was interested in finding out about the rock. So I messaged my friend who is a rock crystal expert. As I was shining my light on the rock to videotape for her, I saw that MY NAME was carved into the rock !!!!! In all caps. KAYLIN. On a rock that I happened to pick up in the middle of the desert. How ?!?!?!!!”
2. “Like a lot of people, I have read hundreds of self-help books over the years. Yours was different. I’d been unemployed for 8 months and was finding it very hard to get a job. I also needed a new car. I did the 48-hour manifestation exercise that you talk about (in E-Squared). I did it exactly as you said. And, both times it worked within 24 hours. Firstly, I got offered a job and secondly, I found the car I wanted to buy at the price I wanted to pay in the exact color I wanted. Wow! The job I applied for wasn’t the one I got. It was a supervisor job with a $15,000 higher wage. I’m blown away.”
3. “Your books have inspired me to step out differently in my view of this universe we live in. And since you mentioned getting a free cup of coffee, I thought to myself, “How am I going to get a free cup of coffee? I’m a stay at home mom with a 4- and a 1- year old.
“Well, I met up with a friend at this craft event and she (without my thinking about it or asking) bought me a coffee!! It didn’t dawn on me until the next day when I picked up your book again and it popped in my head, “Oh my gosh I got a free coffee!” Crazy how abruptly in happened!”
I share that last story to emphasize how important it is to open our eyes, to actually notice the beauty, the gifts, the wonderment.
She could easily have missed it. Like we all do when we refuse to budge from our old positions, our old beliefs.
Today, I start fresh.

Ironically, I heard about his death at about the time I was reading these words from writer Tom Robbins: “If you take any activity, any art, any discipline, any skill – take it and push it as far as it will go, push it beyond where it has ever been before, push it to the wildest edges of edges, then you force it into the realm of magic.”
That fits him, don’t you think? Hope all is well.

How are you? Your weekend with Mark ?
It was wonderful for me to love on Peyton and brady we made snow angels and did some sledding. Matty was rough on/to me so I am a little emotionally hung over today. At one point I asked joe if I was annoying to Matty Matt seemed to pick on everything I said or did.
Work wise I lost a client on Saturday – her father had a pretty bad stroke and after the Hospitsl they are going to move their parents to assisted living. And I gained a client in carrilon north. She is having surgery and will need some help afterward for a few weeks.
I have a phone interview with a clinic opening in Northbrook. An old crate friend referred me. It is for office manager of the clinic. The pay is only $19 an hour which is not enough fir me especially if I have to commute to north brook everyday. But I am going to follow through this afternoon. I have to be careful with how I handle it as my crate friend stuck her neck out for me.

Celebrating your victories!
Hooray for Pam Grout in my e-mail in-box – something I am always grateful for! And so excited for the book! I may have shared this story before, but the black rock story reminds me of it….Back in the late 90’s, when my husband and I were dating, he was really conflicted about how he felt about marriage (having had no great marriage role models at the time) despite our strong love for one another. He went alone to the desert to be with his thoughts and gain some insight. He really wanted to know if marrying me was the right path, and if so, why? Somewhere, out in the middle of nowhere, his eyes fall onto a rock wall with the words “I LOVE PAM” carved into it. Boom! His “why” showed up, carved in stone! We recently celebrated 25 years since we first met, and this summer, will celebrate 20 years of marriage! Still best friends, still in love.
Wow! That is a COOL story. If I’d heard it before, I didn’t spend the 15 seconds required to make it register, to make it stick. This time, I will definitely remember. Especially because it’s such a beautiful name.

Me, too. I’m a huge Banksy fan. I got to stay in a London hotel once where they were auctioning off a piece of one of his walls. I think art is the way to change the world. Or as Lidia Yuknavitch said, “I believe in art the way other people believe in god.”

My biggest notice on the LofA is that since beginning this in my life (consciously) I have managed to stretch my “limited” income in so many ways. I went in about 2 years from scratching up pennies so I could get something I wanted to being balanced each month with about $300 to spare! I intend for that to go up and don’t know how, but that has never stopped it in 2 years. Now, I even buy candy to give out to servers and hosts and cashiers at our local Cracker Barrel when I eat there several times a week! It is nearly unbelievable. I seldom worry (and not for long) when any monetary problem or most any problems arise and I am an NDE person too of nearly 10 years,

E Squared was one of the 1st Pam Grout books that I read – and wow – did I manifest (multiple times). I followed the fun outline presented by Pam all the while thinking that I had nothing to lose. I had been my mother’s caregiver for some years and I told her about Pam’s books and then specifically told my mom what I was asking God/Dude to do. I live in a city neighborhood and didn’t get out of the house much because of 24/7 care, but I did have a dog to walk. This is what I asked the Dude for: “I want to see a Rolls-Royce right in front of the house – it’s going to have to be when I walk the dog and I open the gate to the sidewalk. The Rolls-Royce is going to have to be parked right there on the street. Within 48 hours, I opened the gate to walk the dog – looked up at the line of traffic that was stopped directly in front of the house and there it was – a Rolls-Royce! I was blown away. I burst out laughing and could hardly believe how easy it was to manifest this. Two more Rolls-Royces passed by the house within the week. Different colors different vehicles. I’ve shared this experiment, and more, to many people and suggest that they read Pam’s books if they are looking to enhance their lives. Looking forward to reading Pam’s take on CIM! Most likely, another gem.
My lease on my car was almost up and I had found my “perfect car” at the dealership only to have someone else buy it. Ok no big deal I’ll get something else I said. I’m on my computer and decide to build my dream car but with all the bells and whistles and then some! I get a message that my dealership has this exact car available, I laugh and forget about it until my salesman calls all excited to tell me about this car (which I built) and I will get it at the lower price since the other one was gone. The funny thing is I knew I would get this car because I created it !!

I have started your new book and admit to being unsure how to proceed with it. I have started the workbook several times so am familiar with its format, but with your book, I am not sure whether the idea is to do the exercises or just read about them?

I just started reading your new book, ACIM Experiment. I love how you boil all of it down into something that really helps us see through the fog. Sometimes Universal Principles can be daunting.
I particularly like the wonderful graphic on the front and inside cover. Is there a possibility of a poster or print of this I could purchase? I have been using similar affirmations of this kind for over 3 years and I can’t believe how they change my vibration. I fall asleep saying them to myself and I have really gooood dreams. Mine are a kind of like roast beef and beer but these are like champaign and lobster. Ha.
