“I do not believe in miracles, I rely on them.”— Yogi Bhajan
So you might wonder why I’m always sharing miracle stories here on the blog. Those stories that tend to begin with some version of “You are never going to believe this.”
I feel it’s my duty to point them out (and throw massive amounts of confetti) because miracles, to some people, seem too-good-to-be true, seem too pie-in-the sky.
We need to hear (over and over again) that miracles are normal, that they happen ALL the time. Because until we can embrace a new possibility, it will remain beyond our purview.
Just like the ability to run a four-minute mile was considered ridiculous nonsense until Roger Bannister finally did it on May 6, 1954 (and has since been repeated many times), it’s ridiculous nonsense to skeptics that they have any say in miracles.
So, with the following three stories, I hereby invoke the four-minute-mile rule, the one that says that if one person did it, the rest of us can do it, too.
So as we review ACIM Lesson 219, please enjoy these tales that recently plopped into my inbox:
1. “Within the past 5-7 years, I have been mesmerized by hawks. I love to watch them soar high in the sky. I guess part of that is that they hardly ever have to flap their wings, they just soar with beauty. The other day I read the part (in Thank & Grow Rich) about collecting our gifts and the next day, I was driving home from work and low and behold there was a hawk about 6 feet in front of my car soaring at about the height of my car. The wing span is tremendous and breathtaking. I wish I had been in the situation where I could have pulled over to watch more intensely but I guess I saw what I was supposed to see.”
2. “I just wanted to say how grateful I am for having had the opportunity to read your books. In fact, your book about gratitude “Thank and Grow Rich” has completely changed my life.
“I used to be very depressed, for years I struggled with anxiety and depression, and your book was the open channel to a new reality for me. It actually inspired me so much that, I am creating a Social Project (which I plan to turn into a charity very soon) in Sydney, Australia, to help the homeless and disadvantaged people through educational and personal development programs, alternative and complementary types of therapies, and inspirational talks. And, guess WHAT? In tribute to your book, the name of my project is “Gratitude – A Good Attitude”. Thank you so much for inspiring me, you have helped me to change my life for the better
3. “Thank you!! I don’t have a lot of time to be able to read, but I do have a lot of windshield time and I have listened to Thank and Grow Rich, E-Squared and E-Cubed.
“I started focusing on the law of attraction three years ago when I decided to change my career. I had no earthly idea how it was going to happen but I truly believe that it would. I’m under qualified, under educated, And just plain shaky.
“Out of the blue I was offered the position at a wedding in Richmond Virginia. It was absolutely mind blowing.
When we moved, we left our beautiful home that my wife and I had built. I was detached and stressed. We were moving to a new area, putting the children in new schools.
“I was trying every possible trick or scenario that I thought would help my house. The market in my area is terrible and my house was quite expensive. So in other words, I needed a lot of dominoes to fall into perfect place so we could move out of our new 900 square-foot apartment where my daughters had to share a very small room and bed and into a house.
“When I downloaded Thank and Grow Rich, all of the E-Squared party games began working like magic. I started practicing and genuinely giving thanks for what was right in front of my face the entire time.
“Since January of 18, I have made 35k of extra money out of nowhere, bought a house that was recently built in the neighborhood we wanted to move into. We sold our other house and found a puppy after I gave all my worries to the FP, and Sold our other house.
I get so happy and I am so thankful that I cry often. Your book has changed my life. It’s not because we are able to afford materialistic belongings, but because the void within myself is being completely filled.”

Hi Pam,
Two weeks ago I was sitting in St. Stephen’s Green in Dublin, on vacation from my home in New York (but that’s another manifestation story), reading your latest blog entry. My husband asked me what I was reading and I said a blog from one of my favorite authors – she writes about coincidences and synchronicity.
A woman sat down next to me, and pulled her stroller, with her sleeping baby in it, closer. She then got up and stepped away to smoke a cigarette. A beautiful breeze passed through the trees and I thought – how magical – if this was a movie, there would be tinkly music playing right now. Another woman came along and perched tentatively on the edge of the seat, knowing the first woman would be right back, and watched a group of teenagers approach from another section of the park. Out of boredom or politeness, my husband asked me how I made out with some research I had done – spur of the moment – a few hours earlier. I answered in more detail than I ordinarily would have. The woman perched on the edge of the bench turned to me and said, “You’re not Frances, are you?”
Two years ago, I had emailed a writer in Ireland for help in researching this question, and he had forwarded my question to a researcher in Ireland. I never heard from the researcher and had pretty much dropped the line of inquiry, until on a whim, that morning, I decided to try another avenue of research. It turns out that the woman sitting next to me was the researcher who had received my question two years ago. She doesn’t live in Dublin, she lives about 40 miles away – she just happened to have taken the day off to drive her daughter to an event in the park. When she heard us talking about the details of the research, she couldn’t imagine who else would be discussing these exact details. She had done a lot of research but had forgotten to send it to me. She told me they were very busy working on a related project, and were planning projects for it out to 2019 and 2020. We continued to talk and I later mentioned I had just retired and was wondering if I should try to gather my research into a book, as had been suggested to me a few times. She very enthusiastically encouraged me to do it, saying they could help me in many ways. She speculated that they could tie it into the projects they’re working on for 2020. Sure enough, within a day or two, people she contacted emailed me and offered me exactly the help I need. I have already done an outline for the book…
How’s that for synchronicity…
Fran

Wow! What a groovy thing to say! Thank you SO MUCH!!!!
Today I heard a thump on my window and went outside and there was this bluejay who was stunned, the poor thing was on its back and breathing heavily, did not want to stress it anymore so went back in and started praying, kept saying jay will get well about 30 times than changed it to jay is well 30 times more, just trying to send love and positive vibe to the poor thing. After about 10 min looked outside and it was standing straight up by a nearby bush! I cannot begin to say how elated and thankful I was!! This was my miracle today!!
I love when my miracles involved other beings. Thanks for sharing!
Dawn, this was perfect. I have done the same for birds flying into the glass and I am alway elated and thankful when it happens. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for sharing as well!!
As usual, when I expect your daily miracle post, it arrives just in time.I just sat down, quite tired from my work today, and saw your post. I am still in recovery from stroke that left me 1/2 useless (the right side paralysed), but I have been putting my efforts into getting back to my “old self”. Today, I actually managed to clean my once office and studio area (even vacumning)!
But , PAM,”old self ” just does not cut it any more. I find myself ready for a BETTER SELF! Because in part from your inspiring books, which I read in rehab, I am looking forward to a more useful life, not wanting just to “go back to cleaning my home” as retired drudge, but MORE! I wish to help others to recover, as I am doing, and be able to address some of the hard mental and emotional work that needs to be done, to get folks out of their wheel chairs and back into life. In short, I want to make what I have left, after my surgeon gave me 20 more years, to MATTER! THANK YOU PAM, for helping me get on a better path.
Wow Patricia thank you for your inspiration!!
Yes! Yes! Yes!!!
Congratulations, Patricia.
Stacy, I believe this one’s for you!On another note, I am laying the seed for a ‘Sallman’ family reunion! I’LL let you know more as it unfolds! You know this, but i love you to infinity!!

Sorry about that! It’s the weirdest thing. Yesterday’s post just poof! disappeared. I took the liberty of re-sending it. For those who already saw it, I love you, thank you, I’m sorry, please forgive. Yep, I’m ho’opononponoing it!
So my realization of this “you are not going to believe this” idea was today when I acquired a large RV for under $10K. My husband and I were recently looking at what we could afford, and pull behind, our SUV (which are both small amounts). We found an old 1980 van on a lot for a ridiculous $17K and used this as our gauge. By chance we went to visit an auction where I was bidding on a filing cabinet and desks (and got them for a mere $7.50 !) We saw a large RV not yet entered in any upcoming auction and it was unlocked. So we went in and looked and imagined. 2 weeks later it appeared in an auction for a Tuesday after a 3 day weekend holiday. So not many saw or bid on this particular RV. It had good reports, low mileage and so I bid on it and found I was high bidder at $7200 but did not meet the reserve price of $10K. I took a chance and countered with $8K and got it. I was surprised that it was ours after envisioning us in it 2 weeks before. Then I read your entry tonight and realized what had really occurred.
I love all these miracle and “you’re not going to believe this” stories from your fellow followers SO much! Someone else had mentioned this is in a post recently, but PLEASE consider compiling them into another book. I think we all get so much out of hearing everyone else’s success stories after reading your books and blog posts!!
August 8, I was flying back from Italy with the puppy that I had picked up 5 days before.
The couple that owned the giant schnauzer puppy had given me some wonderful Italian sausages and a bottle of Red Wine to bring home. We are not supposed to bring meat into the country of the US but I valued her gift so I put the Italian sausages into a dog food bag in my suitcase. So, on the plane, they tell us about customs and what we can and cannot bring into the country. A lovely black woman shows up at the plane to take me and puppy in a wheelchair. As we are walking to customs, I talk to her and ask her about the country she came from and if she has dogs. She says in her country. dogs are kept only in the yard to protect house. She pushes me in the wheelchair around several hundred people who are in line for customs. I remember the sausages in my suitcase and am asking Archangel Michael for protection of them. She takes me through where others are getting customs card. She wheels me and puppy directly to exit place where one shows passport and filled out customs card. The man asks the woman escorting me, where is the customs card? She says nothing. Did you not take her to get the card? She says no. He looks at her…he looks at me…he looks through my passport. He stamps the passport and gives it back to me and waves me through. MIRACLE! I laugh to myself. My guides and angels are with me.
Beautifully expressed!
