Let’s talk about love, bay-bee!

“Only in love are we free.”—Alan Cohen

dudeYesterday, I made a new friend, explored a new street, wrote a blog post, took photos and sat by the lake watching diving pelicans.

Adventures—even if something small like walking down an unfamiliar street—keep us fresh, new, keep us from falling into old patterns.

The most insidious pattern to which I fall prey is believing that a certain set of attributes can describe who I am.

“Hi! I’m Pam. I’m a writer. I’m a mother. I get nervous speaking in public.”

Like a four-year-old who insists on watching Frozen over and over and over again, I cling to these attributes with a tenacious grip. As if anyone could limit love and light.

ACIM Lesson 84 encourages me to go deeper, to go beyond a paltry little list of attributes.

This lesson (I am as the Dude created me) is repeated over and over and over again throughout the Course. And today, I’m asked to repeat it over and over, every hour.

It’s a way of shaking the etch-a-sketch, of having new adventures. It’s a way of contacting the truth about myself, the truth that knows no fear, the Self that cannot conceive of loss or suffering or death.

So I’ll say it again. I am as the Dude created me.

  1. Thank you, Pam. With this lesson, I’m reminded of a story I continue to tell that I’m letting go today. I AM AS GOD CREATED ME.

    Thank you! Love the song!

  2. Okay , sweet dear Pam, do you enjoy and like BEing “nervous speaking in public”?

If not, drop the ‘nervous speaking in public” and start thinking, feeling, speaking, and writing how you would like it to BE! You got this!

Unless , of course, you enjoy BEing “nervous speaking in public”, then that is okay, keep it up!😊

We will support you either way!
    Hugs and Love! 😊💚🌹

  3. I am new to WordPress and Im not sure when I try to share a post or picture thats it’s actually sharing with others except pinging back to my own page. At the same time I’m trying to teach myself to use my Rebel 6 T camera after only using a point & shoot or iPhone camera. You once offered to help me if I have questions. I know you’re quite busy in your own life, but I thought I’d ask for some guidelines. I know there are some paid options on WordPress, & mine is the basic free. I’m not sure if I was able to totally set up my domain. My handle is “cabinwoman” “Renewed Awakenings”. Even if its just reading more about it, can you please point me in a direction? I really feel like I’ve gone to the tools offered me, and I’m still confused. Maybe I’m trying to share w/o enough knowledge. I tried to enter into your #MarchSquare collaboration, and never got a heads’ up. I really admire your work & style. Can you please give me a word? Maybe & can share a hoto w/ you & you can tell me if it ever shared w/ general public. Thank you for any tips. Sincerely, 🌷Elizabeth

  4. This is the last #MarchSquare photo I shared. I could tell if it made its way onto community page since only comment was I “pinged” it w/ my page. Can you help me understand? (“Cabin Woman”) E.A. McMorrow-Jones

  5. You make me laugh most days and today is another of them. I always thought the Dude saw what he had made of me and went “Oh Sh*t”, screwed up another one. Let’s see how this turns out.” This is helping that a bit. 🙂

    1. I totally get where you’re coming from here Marlene! I always enjoy reading your comments because I relate to so much of what you share, and you help me laugh at myself which helps me let go of some of my silly judgments or beliefs. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us 😊🌷

      1. It never occurred to me anyone else would relate to my comments, Jenny Louise. Thanks for letting me know. I promised Pam if she kept doing these, I would keep letter her know I was working on these, reading and trying to absorb. this. This is the first time it’s been a relatable way to study the course.

    2. Someone always told me, “God doesn’t make no s**t.” In other words, there are no mistakes in what’s been made by the Creator. I AM as God created me.

      1. I have heard that phrase as well. I can quote it to others. A little harder to turn off the tape of a lifetime for yourself. Working on it though with affirmations. 🙂 Thanks for the input.

  6. I love you, Pam! You are amazing, and a builder of this new Humanity!!

    A Big Fan,

  7. Pam I love and adore you! I cannot get enough of your wisdom and genius! E-Cubed is no less than AMAZING! – I have the audiobook and have “read” it over 6 times and I’m doing it again! Sharing your books is also a pleasure and a thrill! Your writing is inspirational, fun, interesting, and I’ve had so many beautiful, amazing, joy-filled blessings with the “experiments” that I’m overflowing with gratitude! It a great privilege to be on the planet with you and to continue learning more every day! My daughter’s elder dog (15 years young) lives in my home and I use your wonderful experiments on her – she barks a lot (she’s probably confused or hurting), she takes meds for pain and inflammation, I use essential oils and MY loving energy (rubbing my hands together and petting her) to bless her with love, peace, quiet, and relaxation and it usually does the job. I truly hope you have an extraordinarily epic day, week, month, year, and life! Blessings always! You ROCK! You inspire me! Thank you for all you do and for who you are!

  8. Greetings Pam 😊 So, I can understand that I am as God created me underneath all the stuff I’ve added (the fears, addictions, stories etc) but I’m not sure I understand how repeating that over and over helps me to let go of the fears, addictions and stories I’ve created that are what appear to be real. Any suggestions? Or should I just try it and see what happens?! 🤔😁😉 Anyway, thanks as always for these daily snippets of light that always give me a boost, even when I don’t fully understand them! And thanks, too, for the links to the lessons in song. I’m enjoying them. Blessings and love to you from across the miles 😊💖🌷
