The mysterious case of top-secret collusion

“Nobody’s ego or belief systems are of any value to society at all. The world is neither good nor bad nor defective, nor is it in need of help or modification. Its appearance is only a projection of one’s own mind. No such world exists.”–David R. Hawkins

My mom was a pianist and church organist which meant the soundtrack of my childhood was hymns and Broadway tunes.

One of my favorites to sing came from the musical, “Annie Get Your Gun.” Annie Oakley and Frank Butler, playing one-upmanship, sang “Anything you can do I can do better. I can do anything better than you.”

I think of that song whenever I think about J.C. You know the cute guy with the beard and sandals that, according to the Bible, told us point blank that “Any miracle he can do, we can do better. We can do any miracle better than him.”

So far, I’ve yet to walk on the Sea of Galilee or turn water into my favorite glass of Cabernet, but neither activities reside on the top ten of my bucket list.

I’m more motivated by miracles of love, where people who used to hate each other realize they don’t. Or where some limiting belief that kept me stuck in an old pattern gets turned into a whole new possibility.

So why has it taken us so long to embrace J.C.’s exhortations to perform miracles?

One simple reason. We’ve spent the last 2000 years colluding with our egos, getting our intel from that little voice in our head that tells us we’re powerless and that it’s better to play it safe.

The ego is a crafty mother that has been yanking our chains for too long. It’s loud and it lies and it dishes up the fake news that we are nothing but crumbling bodies destined to die horrible deaths.

It tells us that other people are scary. That we must protect ourselves.

But it’s all smoke and mirrors.

It’s time, guys. We’ve got to quit colluding with the ego. We’ve got to quit colluding with our wounds, with our problems.

Instead, we must join forces with the light, the love, the creativity and the beauty inside each and every one of us.

And, as I like to say on Fridays, have the best weekend of your life.

  1. Your emails never cease to amaze me! I’ve been hearing that song in my head for the past week and didn’t know where it came from. (Of course I didn’t Google it— didn’t have to!) More than 50 yrs ago, my Uncle Pat used to call me ‘Annie Oakley’ and say over the fence that separated our yards, in our small town, “Annie get your gun!” Lol and ha ha ha!!!

  2. Collusion is the word of these times, isn’t it? It’s excellent to see it being used in such an uplifting manner! I plan to have a fabulous weekend! Thank you for kicking it off perfectly!

    Much love! Lynne

  3. I remember you writing about how J.C. taught that everyone could perform miracles in one of your books. It really struck a chord with me because I believe that to be true, and I wonder what kind of world we’d live in if we could figure out how to get out of our own way and do this!

Your blog is one of my absolute favorites and I’m always delighted to see a new post. I hope you have the best weekend of your life, too!

  4. Hi Pam,

Thankyou for all your inspirational e-mails.
I look forward to them as they help me grow in so many ways.

  5. The ego is so strong and really rants me to be miserable sometimes. All I want is to allow Source. Maybe shifting to witnessing the ego will allow some peace.
    Peace out!

  6. Wow, I could’ve written that part about growing up with hymns and show tunes myself! Exactly! My mom, and extraordinary woman, used to perform in minstrel shows and fund-raisers; I can still hear her singing “Anything you can do…” So blessed to have those memories, and someone like you to stir ’em up. Thank you. My mom would’ve liked you a lot too!

  7. That is the best Pam, ‘My ego is fake news’. I just love this. You can take all this ponderous material and make me laugh-thank you for that! Also I think of JC as the brother I always wanted and to think of singing that song together is perfect! LOL. I think miracles can be a whole lots easier if I release their “holiness’! Too stuffy. I’ll take this song (from my childhood too) and take it through this perfectly happy weekend! My niece and I are going to see the Long Island Medium do a group session-and she is like witnessing a miracle. So reassuring about what JC showed us!!

  8. JC’s words, and miracles, and most of the dude’s Love have been twisted, misconstrued, and now folks are just making it up as they go (which ain’t bad in some cases). Even the word Fear has so many computations these days most folks seem to believe whatever is put in front of them out of, well, fear..

Thanks for reminding me of the magic inside my friend..

    Blessings

  9. Currently living in a precarious situation and I keep hearing “just go!” Will the miracle find me to fix my brakes, replace my bad tires and ready my car to follow this? I admit that I have doubts and at the same time I want to follow. I don’t feel safe where I am. Thank you for another great article.

  10. Nailed it once again!
The other morning I was playing with the FP and asked simply for something really nice to occur for me that day. I happened to read about Dan Brown’s new book “Origin” and decided to drop by my library to see if I could check it out. The librarian said they had a copy but when we went to the shelf it was already gone. At that point I noticed my friend was standing nearby and she was holding the book. Upon learning I wanted to read it, she handed it over with a big smile, and said “Enjoy!” Such a NICE thing to do-thanks, FP for always showing me how powerfully wonderful you are!

  11. Thank you so much for not being afraid to mention JC. I agree with the ego as number one enemy…much love your way Pam.
