Three insanely easy tools for making your dreams come true

“Our ability to shape energy is like breathing. We do it all the time without even realizing it.”—Damien Echols

Singer/activist/poet Michael Franti has a tattoo on his arm that says, “Today I pray for_________.”

Every morning, he gets out a sharpie and writes in his highest intention. Some days, he hands the sharpie to his partner Sara. Or he allows one of his fans, somebody who is going through a hard time to write in a request.

Either way, it’s a powerful reminder that every morning we get to decide how our day will go, what we want it to mean, how we will use our thoughts, our beliefs and our prayers.

Tool #2:

This insanely easy tool comes from Thomas Edison who, you gotta admit, accomplished more than most in his life. He says he never went to sleep without first making a request to his subconscious. Again, super easy and very powerful. You’re going to sleep anyway, so why not ask for answers.

Tool #3:

Be a permanent holiday-maker. Yesterday, I mentioned the perks of walking with childlike wonder. To a three-year-old, the world is endlessly interesting. There’s no such thing as a bad anything. Without judgment or critique, the world is free to accommodate our sizzling imagination.

Pam Grout is the author of 17 books including E-Squared: 9 Do-it-Yourself Energy Experiments that Prove Your Thoughts Create Your Reality and its equally-scintillating sequel, E-Cubed, 9 More Experiments that Prove Mirth, Magic and Merriment is your Full-time Gig.

  1. I’m a psychotherapist and life coach who specializes in the subconscious mind. The only addition I would make to the powerful tip #2, is to also visualize (pretend/imagine) in your mind that your request has come true. This is how we program our subconscious minds.

  2. Hi Pam,

Just wanted to say how much I appreciate and look forward to your posts – Thank you! I am changing my email and wonder what the best way to do this is – unsubscribe and resubscribe or just let you know. Either way, you have put a smile on my face and lifted my heart on more than one occasion – Here’s to an amazing 2016 where anything is possible!

    Warm regards, Val

  3. I have been a firm believer of the work that Pam Grout writes about in her books. It does work and becomes clear the more you recognize that it is actually happening….we just need to see it!
Following the great work of the Landmark Forum as well, is that….”we don’t know, what we don’t know, until we actually know!”
    Be Extraordinary!

  4. Love the Michael Franti photo and comment on his highest intention. I had the very great pleasure of meeting Michael last summer (sat in his tour bus and everything!) when he played Mountain Jam in Hunter Mountain, NY. My friend Rik Daniels danced in a music video and I went with him to Hunter Mountain so he could dance onstage as well. The cool thing is – Rik has been in a wheelchair his entire life. He’s also been NCAA Men’s Gymnastic Champion – 7 times. So – if you are watching Michael’s Franti’s video (and I can’t remember the name of the song – Every Day? Once a Day?), the guy doing the fabulous stuff in and out of a wheelchair is Rik. BUT – what I also wanted to say, was than when Michael Franti hugs you – his energy radiates through you – it’s soooo calming and good. And, he’s like really, really, tall! He and his band, and Sara, they are the real thing – very nice folks.

  5. I had the great pleasure of meeting Michael Franti and his band, Spearhead, last summer when I went with my friend Rik Daniels to Mountain Jam in Hunter Mountain, NY. We didn’t just ‘go’ to the concert – Rik danced. Onstage. And in the video for ‘Once A Day’. The cool thing? He’s the guy in the wheelchair! He has led an amazing life, especially for a ‘handicapped’ person. He was both a poster child for the March of Dimes, AND a 7-time NCAA Men’s Gymnastic Champion. But – what I wanted to say was that Michael radiates this great energy. He really does hug just about everybody, and his energy radiated through you in and you’re like, melting into calmness. We were in his tour bus, and his band and Sara are all amazing, wonderful people. As a freelance writer, I have met some amazing people. Who knows what will manifest next? 🙂

  6. Oh m’gosh, I just ADORE this: “There’s no such thing as a bad anything. Without judgment or critique, the world is free to accommodate our sizzling imagination.”
