Three more reasons to call off the “life sucks” routine and start conjuring up magic

“Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.”—Carl Sagan

Like Kevin Spacey, I play many roles. I’m a mom, a dishwasher, a journalist, a pickleball player. Recently, I’ve also been called to act as a town crier. To stand on the street corners of the blogosphere and scream, “Extra, extra. Read all about it. Life loves you. All you have to do is quit fighting and start noticing the magic.”

In that capacity, I’d like to pass on the following three stories that recently popped up in my inbox or what I jokingly call, my personal self-help channel. Enjoy!

1. “I would like to share with you my miracle, as you are collecting them. Soon after I asked the Universe to show me something cool, I put on an antique record from 1951 called American Indian Songs of the Southwest, which included a Zuni raindance. I was thinking how cool it would be if it could rain when I played the record, but then I didn’t think about it again.

I was three-quarters of the way through the record and enjoying the music, when my apartment was hit by a big downpour! I was totally impressed. And, the rain mostly stopped when the record finished.

Later, I looked up the weather forecast for my town for that day and the forecast called for zero preciptation, and the whole day had been really nice weather. Now, that’s a miracle.”

2. “My hubby and I had been talking things over and working through the exercises without much conclusive success. I still believed in the FP, but we had both written the butterfly experiment off as not successful. So about maybe two weeks later, I was looking out in the backyard and saw two huge beautiful butterflies feeding on some flowers. I called my husband over to show him and we joked about the experiment. As we were admiring them, out of absolutely nowhere, a stray cat jumps up, rips one of the poor creatures right out of the air and proceeds to eat it!

“Needless to say we were a bit dumbstruck… But wait, it gets better! Only a day or so later our back porch becomes practically infested with caterpillars! There was a constant supply of them on the INSIDE of our screened in porch, plus many more crawling up the outsides! It was crazy! I would attempt to scoop them up to release them in the far corner of the yard only to turn around and have like a dozen more popping out of nowhere! Needless to say I told my husband it may well be time to shut off the experiment before the universe REALLY got crafty… (The next day they were all but gone.)”

3. “I just wanted to say thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for sharing your words and experiments with the world. I’ve been through many trials in life, as everyone has; my daughter was born in January of 2014 with only the right side of her heart. Dakota has undergone two open heart surgeries so far, but today she is a happy 20-month old, learning and lighting up the room with the sound of her laughter.

“She has changed our lives completely and has inspired me to change my perspective, which has opened countless doors in just the last few years. After reading E-Cubed, I began to really understand the way manifestation works — and the keys to success: JOY and FUN! Letting go and letting God. My husband and I have been struggling financially for the last few years and I’ve been encouraging him to raise his awareness and to BELIEVE that good will come. I’ve made him aware of angel numbers as well, encouraging him to look around and notice the synchronicities that let us know we are not in this alone, that all is well and everything is for the greatest good of all.

“Two weeks ago, we received a check for $28,000 — just because. Our lives have been changed, we have the ability to really kickstart the life we’ve been longing to live, to raise our kids in a better place and to live more authentically. Thank you so much for being a beautiful inspiration in the world. I look forward to using these tools as I write my own book about the magic of miracles.”

Thanks, guys. I appreciate all of you so much.

    1. You’re very very welcome. I share them because I love them. I think it’s so important for all of us to remind ourselves and each other that magic is real. Love is real. We are one.

  1. Still beleiving in miracles!! My husband has been looking up info. on bankruptcy, forthis has taken most of his day), and we got the gov. “tome” to read on all the proceedures.:( My medical bills are starting to go to collection and we don’t see any other way to manage). Personal bankruptcy has always been a great fear of mine, one that I barely escaped in a former marriage. But this time it’s me, and I’m Boggled! I am really going to reach out to FP and pray the Universe will hear my plea for relief, a way to overcome the financial mess the operation last Jan. put me in, and if not, the wisdom to prevail. Thank You for all your posts, for they greatly encourage me in this troubling time.

  2. Thanks for the wonderful stories. I’d like to add one more. A few years ago and before I’d heard of the FP or your books, I had one of those magical things happen. We had been having rain for almost a month and one of the reasons I live in the desert Southwest is because I love the sun. Anyway at one point that day I went outside and raised my hands heavenward and said “Enough already!”. Within a few minutes, it did indeed stop! Not only that but it didn’t rain again for almost 6 months. Several people including my spousal equivalent have made sure to remind me not to do that again.

  3. I love hearing from you and your follower, Pam– you are truly helping raise the vibration of the Universe and I love that so many folks have great stories and wonderful magical shenanigans! Bless YOU!

  4. Love, love LOVE today’s illustration and quote from Carl Sagan. Thank you for bringing your most awesome LIGHT into the world where we can all bask in it!

  5. This is so timely Pam. What is the space where you are having all the experiences of magic except for paying your bills? I’m in my 4th year living in my life purpose, passion, and there is no one better than leaping off cliffs of faith, rebirthing, changing everything about their life, receive galactic amounts of unconditional love and receiving in areas of relationships, spirituality, and miracles. I have the most amazing life beyond my comprehension with one small exception; I am down to my last dollar, getting ready to sell my car, and couch surf again all in the name of my magic, passion, and purpose. The reason I left my cozy comfort salaried corporate job 4 years ago are for moments I’ve experienced this year. I’m experiencing both the magic of the best moments of my life and financial disappointments all at the same time. What peace can I allow in right now to help me the most?

    1. My peace always comes from knowing the Truth–I am loved by the universe. I am cared for by the universe. I am blessed by the universe. My only task is to be grateful. Blessings, Pam

  6. I love hearing stories like this! I would like to know the ‘just because’ factor of the check, though. Was it a random check from a stranger? Was it from family or friends? Was it a business venture gone good? $28,000 is a great sum of money, but it has to come from something.

  7. I really wish someone would send *me* a cheque for $28,000 “just because. ” I’m not having much luck manifesting things for myself.

Every since I was a child I’ve been a firm believer in magic and visualization. I know that literally anything is possible. I’ve experienced a couple of things that people would call miracles. Despite all that, I’ve not been able to manifest things for myself. I’m not sure how or why, but I seem to be blocking myself.

I haven’t given up, but I do wish things would come a little easier. I realise that maybe I’m just not seeing things, but I keep telling the Universe to smack me in the face with something impossible to miss.

    1. Dear Craig–Is it possible that your repeating of your belief that you’re blocking yourself could be well, blocking yourself?Things can be easy IF you start believing they are easy and begin looking only for things for which to be grateful. It’s so simpl, that most people miss it completely. All you have intended is right there on the other side of the veil. When you ease up on yourself, get on the frequency of joy and gratitude (the topic of my new book), you won’t be able to miss it. Hope this is of some help. Miracles really are right there–once we’re ready to see them. Blessings, Pam

  8. Pam – you have changed and enriched so many lives with your books. I so look forward to receiving your comments every week and you never fail to lift my spirits. I am understanding the part about allowing my desires to come to me. It’s happening and I remain in AWE of the way things work. Can’t wait to read your new book. Much love and admiration for you.
