Why I’m the luckiest person on the Planet, Episode 13

“Do not try to limit what you see by your narrow little beliefs.”—A Course in Miracles

Some people collect sports cars. Others collect rare and expensive wine. I collect quotes. They’re much easier to carry around.

Today, for example, I added the above quote to my collection as well as these two gems from A Course in Miracles:

“I will receive whatever I request.”

and

“It is as true now as it ever will be.”

So the reason I’m feeling so lucky is because other people are starting to quote little ole me. They’re even making cute little internet images. Nick Ortner, the tapping guru who just announced he’s about to have a new little tapping maestro (congratulations, Nick and Brenna!!) got thousands of likes for the “Something amazingly awesome….” quote.

I’ve talked about my A.A. 2.0. program many times, but for those who are new to the party, here’s the blog post that spawned that now-viral quote.

“What’s the point of being realistic?”–Will Smith

My name is Pam G. and, as of today, I am launching a brand new chapter of A.A. Unlike Version 1.0, my A.A. stands for Amazing Awesomeness and it only has two steps.

Step #1: Admit that… “something amazingly awesome is going to happen to me today.” First thing every morning, before throwing off your covers, before leaping out of bed (and it doesn’t take long in this program before participants do leap out of bed with joy and expectation), before firing up the old Mr. Coffee, proclaim to the world that something unexpected, exciting and amazingly awesome is going to happen to you today. It takes what, three, four seconds? Yet it’s one of the most important things you will ever do. The first few minutes of every morning pre-paves the next 24 hours with positive expectations. It sets up a powerful intention, a forecast on which you can focus.

And it never fails to come true.

Step #2: Come to believe… in blessings and miracles. Pretend you’re a private investigator assigned the task of finding all the beauty and largesse in the world. The dominant paradigm might suggest otherwise, but practiced with regularity, this ritual will force you to see things in a whole different way. Instead of looking for problems, be on the hunt for new blessings. Take on the mission each day of reporting back with at least three pieces of amazing awesomeness, three blessings that are different than the day before. I often liken myself to Lewis or Clark, scouting important new territory.

Because we get out of life whatever we focus on, practicing these two simple steps has the power to override and overturn the accepted paradigm.

Like Bill W.’s A.A, that has reformed the lives of millions, this new program (A.A. 2.0) can transform a “nameless squad of empty glass thinkers.”

I invite others to join me in tweeting their blessings (only rule is it has to be different each day) to my Twitter feed. Or feel free to leave your blessings here. By expecting and looking for a different, more kinder reality, we can, together in one jubilantly mighty whoop, uplift and lighten this tired old world.

    1. I LOVE this! I am so blessed because I get the awesome privilege of spending part of the Christmas holidays with a dear college friend who I haven’t seen since college ( about 14 years) and meet her beautiful family! She lives in Vienna, Austria! And now that I live in Berlin, Germany, it is so close to get to Vienna and it is the perfect time! So not only is it awesome that I live in Europe, it is soo awesome I get to visit a new city and a lifetime friend and play with her adorable daughter for Christmas! I am sooooo blessed!

  2. Today we are picking up the Luckiest Dog on the Planet. My kids and grand kids are saving “Sebastian” from a kill shelter and I know with all my heart we will all be blessed with his loving presence….can’t wait to meet him! This is an amazingly awesome day!

  3. Thank you, Pam! I am having an amazingly awesome day & it’s not even 9:30am yet! My paycheck was twice the amount I expected, (bonus!) I got to go flying down a hill on my cross country skis shouting, “waaahooo!”, and I get to decorate my front porch for Christmas in balmy temperatures! I’m thinking that I may be the luckiest person on the planet!

  4. Love your books, your philosophy, and this post!
Yesterday I gave a presentation to a group and was approached after the meeting by three impressed, interested prospects.
Thanks for what you do! <3

  5. My early morning prayer is: “What would it take for this day and everything in it to turn out better than anything I can imagine and even better!”
It works for me. Throughout the day I am aware of good, funny, miraculous things that happen and I express gratitude on the spot.

  6. I postedthat very thing this morning on FACEBOOK ! I put a bid in on a house and should hear today or Monday if I won. I am 100% emotionally (and spiritually ) invested in manifesting the perfect house! If it’s this house that’s great. If it’s not this house, then that’s great too, because that means an even more perfect house is headed my way! Thanks for all the wonderful things you write!

  7. Given what I’ve practiced myself into believing what I AM REALLY, it occurs to me that SOMETHING AMAZINGLY AWESOME……ALWAYS exists amd is just waiting for me to discover IT each and every day!!!

  8. I love the idea of being a blessings detective!!! I am meeting with my posse of a few awesome women tonight and will share the idea of us all sharing our daily blessing discoveries.
A recent HUGE blessing discovery of mine, is seeing how something that at first felt like the worst thing possible has turned out to be one of the best things possible.!
My son and his girlfriend told me last year on (September 11 ) that they were pregnant. My son was 16 at the time-he was 17 when his son was born in March . He moved out , moved to another city to live with his girlfriend and her dad. I was devastated. He is my only child. I adopted my son at the age of 41, after many years of infertility treatments. So ironic that in contrast, he got pregnant his first time! 🙂
They eventually broke up, which was definitely for the best, and now he’s back home. They share custody of their son, which seems to be working out much better. The baby brings unlimited joy to so many people and has brought out many good qualities in my son. I am now visualizing hoping expecting him to graduate from high school! But, whatever does happen will be okay😍
I just signed up for your email letter. Yay! and thanks soooo much!🎉💜👼

  9. Every day is a wonder. And even more so – and more fun – since I have read E2, E3, and your blog posts! I begin each day, while stretching in bed, with an amalgam of Louise-isms, Pam Grout-isms, and Pam Marshall-isms. I wouldn’t dream of skipping my “stretch affirmations”, any more than I’d skip brushing my teeth. I see and experience goodness, each and every day.

  10. Yup! I’m the luckiest girl on the planet too! I put in a request to the FP to meet you and decided to look for the miracle yesterday. I googled your name and Omega and there you were! I’m a chiropractor in Goshen,NY and I absolutely LOVED E Squared and am into E Cubed. I love sharing the energy concepts with patients and friends (especially the energy wands). Looking forward to meeting you and perhaps talking over Java!

  11. Reblogged this on Spirit In Action and commented:
Thank you Pam! I love this! Pam’s books are full of good stuff like this-practical ideas on how to reprogram your life from the struggle and misery to the awesome. But this is the core, the main deal-What you look for you will find. Like Robert Anton Wilson’s looking for quarters exercise from Prometheus Rising, this is the direct way to show yourself how very wrong the old model of “reality” (a word Wilson frequently reminded us should always be in quotes) really is.

  12. The Universe loves me and I know where I am is where I am suppose to be. I know there is only awesome greatness in store for me from now onwards. i am blessed healthy and truly loved by all.

  13. I have an amazingly awesome new puppy in my life who IS such a wonderful blessing to my entire family! Everyone has something new and extra exciting to look forward to each and every morning! Mom is 84 and dad is 86 who have recently moved in to my sister’s home; a home that is filled with more laughter, joy and excitement from all Zach’s puppy behaviors, activities & cautious curiosity. I extend my arms ready to receive awesomeness and love the idea of playing a PI with the ‘task of reporting’ about all the beauty blessings & gems that occur in my daily life. I have much gratitude for all your contributions, Pam! Namaste~

    1. I am the luckiest person on the planet because the children I am babysitting for drew me beautiful pictures of me as the Queen of the Night by Mozart! I have the perfect place to hang the drawings up in my apartment! It looks awesome! Also, my good friend videotaped me singing Pure Imagination to send as Christmas gifts to my nieces and nephews who live on another continent and to send to a children’s fundraising event for terminally ill children! I am the luckiest person on the planet because I get to share my voice and talent and give some joy to these children!!!!!!

  15. Hi Pam! I’m blessed to have discovered and read not only E2 but even better E3! I’m happy that I’m blessed to have all my bills paid and not work hard/long hours anymore. I’m also blessed to have enjoyed a wonderful meal out with a wonderful man I’m also blessed to have in my life for over 12 years and many more to come.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for writing these books and providing these blogs. My life has changed exponentially because I’ve learned to change how and what I think about, as well as what to focus on. Anyone on the fence, jump over! It will be the best do-over you’ve ever had. Guaranteed.
