“The universe is programmed to support your happiness.” –Marianne Williamson
“I am not a teacher, but an awakener.”
I know she’ll never host a competition like Oprah or Ellen, looking for her biggest fan. But if Marianne Williamson ever did, I would definitely enter.
Since Return to Love, I’ve eaten up her every word. I’ve seen her speak twice and, if I lived in Los Angeles, I’d definitely be a groupie.
I was already a student of A Course in Miracles when she first appeared on Oprah. But, oh baby, did she have a gift for explaining that dense, three-book blue volume. She introduced its beautiful message to the masses. Not since John Lennon sang, “Love is all we need,” did anyone so closely speak my language.
Over the weekend, I read her latest book, Divine Compensation, and I found myself copying down practically every word. Here are a few nuggets from the Divine Miss M that I simply must share:
“The ego doesn’t want you to believe this, but all you have to do is open your heart and all the abundance you need will find its way to your door.”
“The idea you must struggle to experience abundance interferes with the natural magnetism that otherwise brings abundance forth.”
“You have more important thing to do than worry about money.”
“You are here to fly at full wingspan, for the glory of the One who sent you.”
Thank you, Marianne, for being such a great teacher. I love you and appreciate all you do to bring Truth to the world.
And I will end this blog post with a prayer, copied straight from Divine Compensation:
I surrender to You who I am, what I have and what I do.
May my life and talents be used in whatever serves you best.
I surrender to you my failures and any pain still in my heart.
I surrender to you my successes and the hopes that they contain.
May the Light of your Love shine deep within my heart,
And extend through me to bless the world.
